Do you have to have a factory installed remote or just power locks in order to install? The vehicle has power locks but did not have remote installed.

Can this be used as a stand-alone to unlock and lock vehicles? Can I do it from anywhere even if I'm not close to the car? (Say Miles away)
Yes this is a great app. You can see the temperature of your vehicle and see the battery level also. As long as you have cell service you can lock, unlock, and start your car from anywhere it even alerts you of the activity of your vehicle. So if you wife started the car it will let you know because you can share the app with other people. You can even monitor where you car is and put some kid safety stuff to alert you there driving habits.
