In comparison to the ps4, the controllers are around the same price but more than half the size. Be careful if you have a kid that is prone to throwing the remotes out of frustration.

My kids love it. It’s a little confusing at first with the unusual controllers. I do believe that this system is a little expensive from a startup perspective. You most certainly have to buy another controller as well as something to charge them. It doesn’t even come with a game and/or any preloaded games. That 300 you spend on the system ends up being closer to 450 when you’re all set and done. If you plan on removing the switch part and playing it like a tablet, you’re going to want to protect it and then would have to spend more on screen protectors and cases. All in all you could end up spending on accessories what the original system cost.
