Good, inexpensive Espresso Maker

This is a great machine if you know how to use it. First, forget about the plastic cover for the steamer, it doesn't fit the pitcher's cover; therefore, remove it and send it to your favorite museum. Clean the machine by running water with 3 spoons of vinegar no less than 2 times, then run it again, with just water. Now, pour good spring water and use La Llave Espresso coffee from Gavina & Sons (green can) and pack it in tight for best flavor. Add sugar to the pitcher as preferred (I use 4 tea spoons) and turn the machine on to fill the pitcher with coffee about a line above the 4 cup mark, then turn the machine off and let it off about 25 to 40 seconds to let the machine complete the cycle. Then take the full pitcher and with the plastic cover off, run the steam inside the pitcher by constantly moving the steamer inside of the pitcher around and allowing the foam to grow as much as possible. Once the foam is about to spill, turn it off and enjoy a cup of espresso almost equal to the $10,000 Italian commercial machines! I have a $2800 Pasquini Espresso Livia 90 and I can't tell the difference between the Pasquini and the $39 Bella!

Are all the interior parts ( where the heat is) stainless steel? I am looking a plastic free machine
If you want a plastic free, top quality machine then you need to look at the Pasquini machines but be prepared to spend $$$$!

1 household, 1 desktop computer, 4 users. Could I purchase software for 1 user, or would I have to get the one for up to 6.
Since you only have one computer you don't need to worry. However, if you had 6 computers, you would then have to check how many licenses a particular software package includes. In your case, you just have multiple users with access to one computer and whatever software/applications you have in that one computer. Many software companies allow two computers to share a single license. I happen to be in music and have 4 Macs for which I have to ensure that all my music applications have licenses for all four computers. In my case, I always buy licenses for 5 computers to be on the safe side. Hope this helps.
