Professional haul away & recycle old washer/drier

They delivered and installed our new stacked washer and drier. When they departed, they took the old washer and d drier stack with them. What else is there to say? As far as the recycling, not being a witness to it, there is nothing I can say except I trust Best Buy did the right thing.

Washer / /Drier home delivery

While Best Buy was not my first choice for buying a replacement washer (which required replacing the stacked drier, as well) but, due to supply chain issues, the vendor we usually buy from was not able to get the product we wanted (and I used laundromats for three months waiting). Best Buy, however, had LG stackable washer/drier that fit my available space, they had them in the nearby store, and they delivered and installed them four business days later.

This dryer cord is required for successful hook-up of your new appliance. Our delivery personnel will determine whether a 3- or 4-prong cord is needed based on the outlet behind your existing dryer.

6' 30 Amp Dryer Power Cord

This is a fine power cable which was used to connect our new drier to the 240V power outlet in our wall. Our old drier had a perfectly good power cable but Best Buy required us to buy a new one if their team was doing the install. While I might not agree, I can understand their reasoning on this unlike their requirement that we buy new water hoses for the washer.

LG 4.2 cu ft Stackable Electric Dryer Installation

I think the installers did a fine job. They were efficient, polite, and tidy. However, I think Best Buy could train them better on specific products. They had no clue the stacking kit was included. Luckily I had done my homework (thanks to previous posts on line) so I knew the stacking kit was packed in the drier's drum. They also missed something connecting the drier's water drain hose as the drier did not recognize the attachment and pumped the condensed water up to the holding tank for manual draining. When I looked on line, it appears the installers did the correct thing but there seems to be two ways to have the water route to the drain hose. I changed the setup to the second option and the draining worked with no further water pumped to the holding tank. Again, I do not see this as the installers' fault but Best Buy's training of the installers.

We are quite happy with our purchase. It is, to me, new technology using a heat pump to evaporate the water from the clothes, collecting it, then, optionally, pumping it out to the same place where the clothes washer drains. If this option is not used, the water is collected for manual draining. We sometimes fit two loads from the matching washer in the drier. No separate purchase was needed for the stacking kit as it is included and packaged inside the drier's drum.

How can you turn off the power saver light? It looks like the water container that you remove to take water out should be connected to something but doesn't seem to be on my dryer. I have dried 3 loads now and there is no water in the container...normal?
I have no answer for the power saver light as I like saving power so would not disable that mode.
If the dryer was installed by Best Buy and is adjacent to your clothes washing machine, the installers probably used the included kit to route the dryer's water output to the drain you washing machine uses saving you the need of emptying the water collection tank every time you run the dryer.
