Fits perfectly in the palm. Glides like butter on any surface on which you would game or otherwise. After using many other weighted, longer gaming mice, I prefer the Pro’s lighter, more diminutive feel - much more responsive in FPS titles in particular. There is a weight included for those that prefer a more grounded feel. The only con i have, as far as I can tell, the only way to adjust the DPI is with a button beneath the mouse - so no on-the-fly adjustment. That said, it’s minimalist construction is perfect for most applications unless you favor an MMO layout. Price a little steep but on par with most high-end wireless rodents.

Great budget brick for your home theater.

Low profile so it fits nicely on the wall or fastened with magnets to the back my home theater console as I’ve done. Abundant outlets - the spacing on the outer ones is helpful for awkwardly-designed plugs. Would have like liked some outlets on sides for more variety but can’t have it all in one solution I suppose. All in all, a good product.

Though a divisive launch marred the reception of arguably one of the most anticipated games of the twenty-tens, the Cyberpunk 2077 collectors edition is no doubt one of the best, uh... collections of physical media for a game.
Everything seems relevant and cool, from the spot on diorama representation of “V,” the game’s protagonist, frozen in a dynamic last stand, guns blazing while pinning a corpo bad guy to the ground with the business end of his Akira-esque bike (though not quite on par with the finer selections from high-end collectible masters like Prime One and Hot Toys), to an assortment of stickers, NCPD police report, a replica keychain of one the cooler cars you can obtain in game and other items that would complete a shrine to a franchise that is here to stay for a few years at least. And, of course, the physical game disc which is waiting to be patched to high heaven as soon as you unwrap it.
All this goodness is packaged in a stylish case inside of a monolithic effigy of one of the many “mega-buildings” adorning the Night City landscape. If you are fortunate enough or have the eddies to snag this tribute to a game that, while it has its issues, no doubt drips with the blood, sweat and cyber-tears of its devs, don’t be gonk, pick this baby up.

The Anime that got me hooked on anime

My first copy of this seminal film was on a dinged up VHS that I literally played to death. I had never see anything like it (only finding Akira after first viewing GITS) - the subtle dusting of CGI that vaulted Project I.G.’s fluid animation to something hyper-real, the gorgeous backgrounds, colorful cast, a “lived-in” near future that seemed like it could be on our very real horizon, the contemplative score and the film’s willingness to linger and let us imagine, dream and truly wonder just what being human means.
Fast forward 25 years and GITS’s impact on pop-culture is indelible, inspiring animated and live-action films, video games all things cool. Though it didn’t invent it, when I think “cyberpunk,” I think Ghost in the Shell. 25 years have also seen various transfers of the film, from VHS to DVD to Blu-Ray and now UHD - through all that innovation, GITS both evolves and retains its elegance.
With the UHD transfer, GITS has never looked better, it’s swelling soundtrack, fully uncompressed, is one of its standouts. Colors pop, some of the more kinetic scenes seem almost 3D, jumping off the screen. The steel book packaging, if you are lucky enough to find one without the swelling aftermarket price tag is gorgeous - one of the Best Buy has offered.
TL;DR - Even if you already own a copy of this amazing film, or if you are like me and feel compelled to pick up every iteration of GITS, this is a must buy. And if this is your first “jack-in” to this groundbreaking opus, then I envy you. Enjoy.

End of an Unforgettable Era

As the official end of the MCU Phase 3, ‘Far From Home’ caps off cinematic history as an action-packed epilogue to a legendary ten-year, 22-movie run that hits you right in the feels. Holland reminds us all why he is THE Spider-Man (no offense, Toby, you did a great job in your own Spiderverse). Supporting cast is as endearing as ever - Zendaya as MJ is just the cutest. And Mysterio! Any fan of the MCU can’t miss it and any fan of just good entertainment can’t miss it either. Easy buy.

Bringing a Seminal Manga to Life

Battle Angel Alita (or Gunnm, the original Japanese title) has been a beloved manga for decades and with good reason; with the consistently beautiful art, cyberpunk trappings and wildly-creative world-building, it's impossible not to get lost in its genius. With Alita: Battle Angel, bringing the intricate and exhaustively fleshed-out universe of Alita to the big screen is a colossal task, to say the least, but the legendary James Cameron and crew have done it with aplomb.
All the iconic characters and imagery are sublimely realized with the titular character shining above all, as she should. CG has come light years since Cameron's groundbreaking Terminator 2, and the practical world and digitized assets are seamless. Obviously, condensing the tomes of tankubon (graphic novels) of Alita into one film is not possible, but the creators do a masterful job of summarizing the most impactful story threads while still giving the film its own feel.
Without risking spoilers, suffice it to say, there is plenty of room here for many sequels to do justice to the distinctive experience that is Alita, should commercial and critical success deem it so. An easy buy for any fan of the genre or even just fans of smart spectacle and violent action.

THE epic movie crossover event 10 years in the making (more than a quarter century for comic die-hards), Avengers Infinity War is here. Though the overall experience has drawn a divisive line in the ash (see what I did there?) among fans, there is no denying the pure spectacle and execution of the penultimate Avengers film of this phase of the MCU is a sight to behold. The specter of comic movie fatigue disappears the moment Thanos drags a beaten and broken Thor across his razed ship - this was not going to end well. From the heart-felt reunions, to the one-liners, to the CG mastery of Thanos, to the dark ending in a traditionally bright MCU, this is truly groundbreaking. The 4K presentation is sublime. On a decent 4K HDR OLED combined with a 4K blu-Ray, digital streams just can’t compare. In my book, physical media is here to stay. And the Steelbook looks sleek on the shelf. Just buy it.
