Didn’t work for my headphones

Probably a good cable, but didn’t work for my headphones. Neither plug would stay completely inserted into my headphones, they kept slipping back out. Had to take them back, but was able to find an extension cable that served my needs.

Alarm won't go off to radio at desired time. Set up alarm for weekdays with the radio, the alarm is on, am mode, and with all settings set. Not sure what else has to be done or changed.
Not sure what you mean by "am mode" Do you mean AM radio. The unit we have only plays FM stations - don't see where it can be set to an AM station. The only suggestion I have specifically for the alarm would be to be sure the AM/PM setting for the clock and the alarm are set correctly.

Can you play music off of a USB on this device? My mother-n-law gets audio files from church services on a USB and listens to them in her car and wants a home device that does the same. Hope that makes sense.

I have not personally tried it, but I would think not. I believe both items attach to the magnetic connection along the edge of the iPad. So I don't see that you could have both of them connected at the same time.
