Can the soundbar and speakers be connected to a receiver instead of directly to a TV? We have a TV on a swivel and would like to have the least amount of wires coming down as possible.
Only if your receiver has a fiber-optic sound output capability, and you are not already using the fiber-optic input on the sound bar. You cannot connect this unit directly to a receiver for use as regular speakers. You would need to purchase "passive" speakers for that.

I hooked everything up as the manual said to, I can get the TV sound thru sound bar and speakers, however I have the stereo receiver hooked up but can not hear sound from the stereo when plays music no sound out of sound bar. What's the problem or fix?
Not sure how you have a receiver connected to this unit. Assuming you have it connected to the fiber-optic port, the manual says that it you have both the HDMI and fiber-optic ports connected, the system will default to the HDMI connection. Not sure if you can use the "input" feature to select the fiber-optic port to override the HDMI port.

Posting another question as previous one on 7.1.2 had confusing answer. Does HW-Q65T has up-firing speakers? As per Samsung website they do. If they do, why this isn't a 7.1.2? Either Samsung is lying, or their reps have no clue about the product.
I believe it does have up-firing speakers to help simulate surround immersion, but is still just a 5.1 system. The 7.1 capability comes by using it with a newer Samsung Q-series TV, where you can use the TV's built-in speakers to add 2 additional speakers to the overall mix.

I just purchased a Q60A 85 inch QLED 4K Tizen......which Samsung soundbar would be most appropriate for this television?
Any of the Q-series sound bars will work with it just fine. Choice depends on what size room you have, how loud do you want it to be, and how much you are willing to spend. If you want full surround, opt for one of the higher end models with wireless rear speakers. Otherwise, go with one of the units that has full Atmos capabilities.
