This connector like the ones manufactured by Apple don't hold up to regular use. I think they need to have a strain relief to allow it to stand up the the flexing that is place on this extension. I have found another cable that appears to be a little better made but only time will tell.

I bought these because I getting hard of hearing and I needed something so I can hear the TV better and not blow everyone out of the room. These have two ways to connect to a TV. One is through a 3.5mm phone plug. The second is with a supplied Y adapter so you can plug into RCA connectors. There is not a way to go through an optical connector. But there is probably an adapter to accomplish this.

I have a Sony A6000 with the standard 16-50mm lens and it fits into this case nicely with room for extra batteries. Since the camera itself is not waterproof or splash proof, the case offers protection from the elements. If you want to carry an extra lens, external flash, etc you will need to look for a bigger case.

I purchased this camera during a Black Friday sale. I purchased it as a carry camera because of its sensor size for a camera this small. My workhouse camera is a D7100 and is bigger and heavier. The Sony is about 1 lb. I have heard the battery doesn't last long in this unit & at first my battery seemed to be draining even when turn off. I have tried an experiment the past couple of days to improve battery life. I have turned on the camera's airplane mode, which shuts off the WIFI & is a known power hog in this camera. For the past 2 days my camera has remained at 100%.
Images off this camera are as sharp as my Nikon & the focus is fast. Video is good and the focus responds quickly to subject movement. I'm still trying to get the hang of the video settings. It is a little different than my Nikon.
This appears to be a good 2nd camera for me. If you are planning to work with the camera all day you might want to get an extra battery or two. Also make sure you get an external battery charger. If you try to charge them in camera you can't use it while charging.

my Sony-Alpha a6000 doesn't recognize lens, if I go to the Best Buy Geek squad, can they put a different lens on the camera, so I might know if the lense is shot or is the whole camera shot, I loved the camera, had it for almost 3 years.

We purchased the camera but are having a hard time finding a place to print out the HD pictures. Anyone have a solution or a place they’ve used to print successfully? Thanks!
I'm not sure I understand your question. The images are stored in a standard picture format, jpeg, tif, png etc. The only limiting factor is the printer being used. Most should handle HD format/resolution. If not try switching the camera to 3:2 instead of 16:9. 3:2 will mimic 35mm more closely.

Do you need a converter for the charger when I travel to New Zealand? I have the adapter for New Zealand already. New Zealand has 230 voltage and 50 frequency electricity. So, I am wondering if the camera is dual voltage?

What lens would be good for capturing subjects 100 ft away?
Get the 55-210mm lens. This will appear to put you 2.5 to 3x closer to the subject. Also I would recommend getting a 40.9mm UV filter for you 16-55mm lens. This will protect it from scratches and is cheaper to replace than the lens. The 55-210mm lens uses a 49mm filter.

what accessories come with this? Are batteries included? if not which one should I order. if the battery is rechargeable what recharger should I order?
One battery comes with this camera but I would recommend getting one or two spares, depending on how much you plan to use it in a day. When you want to charge the battery you have to plug the camera in with the supplied USB cable & charge it in the camera. You can't use the camera while it is recharging. The plug that goes into the camera is the same type used with an Android phone, but it doesn't have a USB transformer. So if you don't have one of these you will need to get one. I would recommend getting one that has a 2A output. If you get extra batteries most come with an external charger but if not get one. To extend battery life you may want to put the camera into airplane mode. This will turn off the WIFI. When you want to transfer images to your phone or other device, turn it back on & then off after you're done. One accessory I would recommend getting if you have the kit 16-50mm lens is a 40.5mm UV filter. This protects the lens from being scratched and it's cheaper to replace the filter than the lens. If you also have the kit 55-210mm lens the filter size is 49mm.
