I have a roku TCL TV that used to connect to Verizon service immediately, since switching to xfinity, it takes several steps to get to my cable channels. If I buy this tv, how hard will it be to set it for cable immediately? Old TV needs replacing

Download the Xfinity app. It will then be on your home screen as a choice. Xfinity’s app is not ideal on any TV, but it works as well on this TCL as it does on our bigger Samsung units we have in the family room and master bedroom.

will this yv accept the spectrum app?

Not sure, but it has many preloaded apps and you can search for others you wish to download. We downloaded the Xfinity app and 5-6 others that were not on the TV out of the box. I have to think given how new it is that you download any streaming service app.

What is the depth of the tv stand?

The included stands require around 2.5” beyond the narrow width of the bottom of the TV to support the item if you use them (you screw them in). Depth of TV at bottom is narrower than maximum depth, which is at middle.. the screen is maybe an 1.25” thick.

difference between 43" and 50"; if I choose 43", other than size, what will I be giving up ?

Typically, you sacrifice features as you step down in size. Compare the two side by side on the website to see what you gain with 50” version. If you don’t gain anything and find that your space is too small for a 50” model, get the 43” model.

Is this tv compatible with firestick?

It is but you don’t need it. I suggest using the built-in Roku which will get you Amazon Prime … just sign into your account. There’s also a Google version that likely works the same way.

Does the TCL 43" Class 4-Series 4K UHD HDR Smart Roku TV Need an ANTENNA? I heard that with smart TV's you don't get Local listings. So would I need an ANTENNA? I don't need any Streaming shows.

There’s a special section via streaming that allows you to get your local TV stations PLUS TV stations from at least 10 other major markets … and you can set it up to have the part app of the screen’s app get those stations whenever you want.

You can if you stream. This is a smart TV. Mine has Roku built-in as the interface; you can download any app not preloaded. There’s also a Google version which I assume is more YouTube focused and might use the Google voice app (???).

Would this be a good option for a large screen in a home office mounted to the wall for work? Also, kids could then use it for movies or games? I'm looking to mount whatever I get to the wall.

For home office or the kids, it is perfect! Picture quality for the $ is great. Very hard to beat. I got it on sale. Pair it with the Best Buy essential wall mount (as I did) and you can tilt, pivot, and move the screen closer … or push it almost flat to the wall. Is the size of the screen right for your room? Only you can answer that. But in a 15 x 12 or 15 x 15 room or something close to that, this works just fine. If the room is larger, you might consider a larger screen depending upon placement. This is not the highest-end TV in terms of picture (you have to go 55” or bigger to find those), but the quality is truly very strong for the money. Smart TV that handles streaming if you stream. Good refresh rate, decent built-in TV speaker sound. No regrets. Get one.
