Every one of them reads and writes just fine, but about 20 of them are difficult to slide the protective cover back and forth, especially with my arthritis. finally decided to slide all covers back and leave them that way.

We got the plan again due to the heavy use of her computer (7 to 9 hours daily). This is our 4th desktop iMac since 2004, and each one has been better than the one before. We were first attracted by the all-in-one concept of computer and screen, but we learned to appreciate the operating system as much as the elegant design. This is our first one with the Retina display, and also the first one without a built-in CD-DVD player. We don't miss that feature, and the unit is lighter, slimmer, and less complicated. But the separate Apple DVD player and recorder would fit nicely beneath the iMac if needed.

What is the overall size (in inches) of the camera plus the viewfinder-clip? Does it fit in a jeans pocket?
The outside dimensions are 3/4 inch deep, 1 3/4 inches wide, and 4 1/4 inches long. It IS pocketable, but the viewfinder clip makes it perfect to hang from a belt loop. Otherwise, I would put it in a shirt or vest pocket. I find a jeans pocket to be too confining for devices such as this, or a cell phone.
