No Mic Audio to Stream

So after getting the needed chat cable that doesn't come along with the Elgato...(extra $10 on Amazon) my voice is heard from people in my party, but voice does not go through Stream.. even though the party can be heard... Super weird, but doesn't properly work!
I'm using PS4 with wired headset to a controller, and a custom PC.
Elgato says the only way around this ridiculousness is to invest in a desktop mic... (Blue Yeti - another $120)...
