Is it possible to self manufacture a special riser/stand (e.g., some 2x4 screwed together with a piece of felt/cloth to cover it) that will raise the LG C9 Base high enough above the TV stand in order to place a sound bar in front of it?
I purchased a new TV stand as well when I bought my TV and thought that might be an answer to my problem. The business where I bought my new TV stand also made sound bar covers. So you actually put your TV on top of the stand and the sound bar goes underneath. Really didn’t want to spend the extra money but I found moving the sound bar forward from the TV actually helped with the reception when using my remote

How high is the screen from the stands base? Judging by the pics any sound bar placed in front will obscure some of the screen. My sound bar is 2.25” high.
The TV screen is 3 1/2 cm above the TV stand. My sound bar is 5 cm tall and it does of obscure a very minimal portion of the TV screen at the bottom. I too had a problem with reception with the remote to the TV with the sound bar in place. What I found helped is moving the sound bar a bit further in front of the TV so there’s a little more space Between television and sound bar. and since doing that I do not have a problem with reception from my remote to the TV. I hope that answers your question
