Love the watch, If you want 30 days of battery, you have to turn off a lot. I'm 8 days in with GPS and messages and at 32% battery. Still WAY better than every 3 days. I'm betting on a 10-day life until I reduce the activities I track. I'm not into a lot of activities and it's the simple ones and notifications I like. Wait till it's on sale for a lower price. You can get it normally for close to $60 than the $80.

it seems this has good battery life. but does the Bluetooth connection to the phone use up the phone's battery quickly?
Not that I noticed. Mine is on all day. The biggest drain on the battery is the use of the GPS. I used only the primary notifications of text and calls with the heart rate being monitored every 5 minutes and started at a full charge from January 1st to the 15th. On the 15th I was down to 48%. Before that, I had everything going when I got it and I had to recharge in 10 days. Still better than my prior watch which had less and still needed to be charged in 3 days.
