Beautifully flawed game

I. Love. Mortal Kombat. It is by far my favorite fighting game series of all time. There have been high points and low, of course. This new chapter in the series, in my opinion, wanders into the space between high and low.
First of all, this game is absolutely gorgeous! Exquisite detailing has made the characters and stages look better than ever. Of course, this extra detail does make the violence and blood look more gruesome than ever, and those with a weak stomach will feel queasy. The new female boss kronika is good but I never felt her as menacing as shao khan. Still she is a breath of fresh air as the first female boss in the series. But don't be fooled... She is tough to beat!

Now for what I didn't like. Changing characters backstories (sindel) is unnecessary and ruins the saga that the last 27 years have told! Wish I could elaborate but that would mean spoilers and I don't wanna do that. Ronda rousey is a bad choice for voicing Sonya! Dull and bland delivery of an iconic character's line! Plus her voice doesn't even match the character design! It is jarring! I'm not liking the new characters either. And please stop with the guest characters and the micro transactions!! It is too expensive to keep up with that and it offers nothing to the game!
I hope the next game really does return to classic kombat. No guest fighters and dlc kept to a minimum and at least important to the game. If you like Mk you'll enjoy this

This is a classic Godzilla and King Kong movie. It's super cheesy but that's what makes it so good. If you watch it with a modern critic's eye then you will not enjoy it. What I mean by that is that the special effects are primitive. You can spot all the tricks that were utilized to make these films back in the day. But if you just forget about all that and just watch it for what it is, then you will enjoy yourself.

The dark Knight is still the best superhero film ever. Better than anything the MCU and DCEU have churned out. Forget the gripes about bales bat voice, the story and fantastic performances, especially by the late Heath ledger, will make you forgive any shortcomings, if any, the film has. You feel the angst of Batman as he struggles against the ruthless joker. The relationship between the Batman and the joker is as close to comic accurate as can get. This was an instant classic in 2008 and will be for years to come

The final chapter in Chris Nolan's Batman trilogy is an ambitious and at times flawed effort. Nevertheless it is A FANTASTIC movie! It looks and sounds terrific in stunning 4k quality!
