Purchased for the 4K upgrade. The sound and picture improvements over Blu-ray 180p were worth it. This film provides some inspiration for current popular hits like "Stranger Things". Despite the technical continuity flaws that plague this film, it is an engaging story. The visual effects though suffer from an era where CGI was not utilized with creative responsibility. "Cloverfield" suffered from the same poor processes.
