Some of the CDs look fine on the bottom but when played have skips and stutters. I'm sure it doesn't matter that much in the streaming age, but it's a little annoying.

While this is certainly a lot of fun, DiCaprio and Maguire and Mulligan do their best, but this is one instance where Luhrmann's kitchen sink style takes away from the story...and the bad accents don't help.
Sixty year-old Huw Morgan looks back on his life as a boy (Roddy McDowall) in a small Welsh mining town. His reminiscences reveal the disintegration of the closely knit Morgans, and his devoted parents (Donald Crisp, Sara Allgood), while capturing the sentiments and issues of their time. Maureen O'Hara and Walter Pidgeon co-star in this acclaimed screen classic, the story of one family's dreams, struggles and triumphs.

Due to WWII this movie, set in England, had to be shot in America...but that's not what makes this middle of the road. It's the story...and the acting...and everything else. Not awful, not great...and it's no Citizen Kane but managed to beat it for Best Picture anyway.

This has some high highs and low lows. The comedy helps temper just how sad all this can get. Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine give phenomenal performances.

There are some things to pick at here (like how lame the villain was in the end and the VFX) but Gal Gadot isn't one of them. She carries a movie and makes it pretty great. Backstory isn't always the most entertaining, but this one was fine enough. Nice to see a well made, female driven comic book movie.
It's the year 2029, and much of the world's mutant population has succumbed to a genocidal, man-made virus. As a down-and-out Logan (Hugh Jackman, in his final appearance as the character) comes to terms with his failing healing factor, he and an ailing Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) must protect Laura (Dafne Keen)-a young genetically bred mutant with powers similar to Logan's-from the evil organization that created her. With Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant.

Sometimes trying to make a movie be something it isn't won't work out. Logan is not a serious art movie...so skip that b&w version...and some of the drama lacks a real punch. An interesting way to go out as a character.
