You need a power lead to the thermostate.

My setup did not have the power lead. So it became a nightmare to hook up this unit. I had to call HVAC people and they wanted more money than this unit would have saved us in 100 years.

My son loved it for about a week. There are no updates and not all phones are compatible. Our had too big of a screen, so we had to force fit the phone into location. Game is fun, but there isn't an update or addition
