Can have it on my rooftop and not worry about overheating, water getting on it, kids knocking it over, etc. I love it and glad I made the purchase. I only paid $150 for it, not sure it is worth the original $280.

This is an update to my original review. After about 3 months, it stopped working. No sound but connected to BT. I have to mail the speaker to Altec so they can "fix" the issue. Altec will return it to me in a couple of weeks. I am not feeling confident it will be fixed properly. I would not recommend this speaker now since the issue I had is the same that multiple people have stated in these reviews. This is a known issue and a new speaker should be sent out immediately. Instead I have to wait 2, 3 or maybe 4 weeks to get it back. Plenty of other BT speakers out there. I wish I could return it for a refund.
