Great HDMI 2.1 cable. Had issues connecting my new Blu Ray/SACD player using one old HDMI cable and the HDMI 2.1 cable that came with my Playstation 5. Both gave me trouble when connecting the player to either my receiver or directly to the TV. So I picked up this inexpensive HDMI 2.1/10K/48Gbps six foot cable and problem solved. Fires up and stays connected now with no issues. Music to my ears. :-)

Really enjoying PGA Tour 2K25 more than I thought I would. Wasn't really planning on getting it but the demo on PS5 hooked me. It has some misses like needing a 2K (free) account to play, not having Augusta National and not a ton of recognizable pros, but it more than makes up for it in gameplay, and at least it does have Tiger Woods which is great. The commentary is just okay and I turned the volume down to put it more in the background. Of course shutting it off completely is also an option.
I really like the new EVO swing stick mechanic and I'm still getting used to it. There are a lot of nuances to it that I'm still learning and also enjoying it at the same time. The courses are beautiful and there are a lot of them, including all the PGA tour courses and user created ones as well. The course editor is a welcome addition and is very deep and there is a lot to learn there as well, looking forward to it. You can basically design holes with just about any type of layout, terrain, water and hazards, wind speed, etc. that you would like. Make your own practice area if you want, you name it, very cool.
All in all I have found PGA Tour 2K25 to be a very enjoyable golf sim!

Bought the TX-RZ30 to replace my trusty 18 year old Onkyo TX-SR805. Great upgrade to properly support my HDMI 2.1 PS5 Pro. Dirac Live inclusion is an excellent addition and worked perfectly with the included mic.
Love the fact that they have a mode specifically for Klipsch Reference speakers, which I have. I am using the system in a 5.1 configuration with bi-wired front speakers and everything is working and sounding great.
I highly recommend using the PC client for Dirac Live as it is much easier to use with a bigger screen than you would get with a cellphone.
I have found this to be a great all around receiver, nice work Onkyo!

Great all-around smartwatch. Excellent health features, really like the health summaries that appear in the morning and evening to show your sleep quality, your energy level (Body Battery), stress level, etc. It really is like having a health coach by your side giving you quality tips to improve your health.
Gorgeous high-res screen. Love the fact that I can keep the brightness level down to 10% and it is still easily readable in most situations. Being that it's an AMOLED display, I want to minimize the occurrence of burn-in and keeping the brightness down is a great way to do that. Really like the slim design and super long battery life compared to most other smartwatches. I have this paired with an iPhone so I can read texts and receive notifications and via Siri I can compose and send texts as well as place calls right on the watch, which is very handy.
Working with your phone contacts, needs some improvement. On the Garmin Connect app, you can import your phone contacts but then you must move them over as a "Connect" contact for it to show up on the watch, which is limited to 50 contacts. Also I received an ambiguous "network error" message when trying to move over any contacts which had an 800 number in it or a text code. I had to create those Connect contacts manually without the numbers it couldn't handle. Hopefully they can fix that flaw in a future software update.
But overall I am very impressed with the Venu 3 and am very happy with its functions and features. I found some really excellent watch faces that not only display a ton of information but look great too. Highly recommended.

Nice size for travel. It has taken me some time to adjust to differences in it and a Windows laptop. I'm not happy that there is no 'Delete' button. Also, I can't seem to get a larger font for typing things like this or in boxes on other sites. Overall, I like it.

I also didn't like the fact that the keyboard didn't have a delete key on it but I looked up the keyboard shortcuts for this Chromebook and found out that if you hold down the Alt key when pressing the Backspace key it will then delete characters to the right of the cursor, working just like a normal delete key. Very handy!

This receiver is good for video, but doesn't deserve the hype it's received. I bought this on my 4k 120Hz Home Theater update and am pretty disappointed. My setup is now: LG C2 77, NR7100 in 5.1.2 configuration, Paradigm front speakers, Yamaha center and surround speakers (until I find some I like more), and Onkyo front Atmos speakers (all with 12 guage wire), PS5, XSX, Switch OLED, VR & Home Theater PC with RTX 2070 (to be updated to 30/40 series later this year). Cables are all certified HDMI 2.1 cables from Cable Matters and Infinite Cables - all support full features and tested at 48Gbps bandwidth.
The good: Excellent video passthrough and build quality, clean design, great GUI, lots of inputs and dual outputs. I also appreciate the front input as I like to hook up other things at random and this way I don't need to get behind the receiver for a simple/short-term add-on.
The bad: (1) I had trouble with getting all the features of my Xbox Series X and PS5 out of the box. By default, all inputs and outputs are set to "4k enhanced" and this limits available features. In order to use VRR/ALM/4k@120Hz you need to adjust the inputs you're using AND the output to the TV to "8k enhanced." (2) You can dim the front display, but you can't turn it off completely or have it turn off after a set timeout period. This kind of ruins the immersion when watching dark movies in a dark room. (3) I would have appreciated a cleaner front design and a cover for front I/O). (4) THE FAN is ALWAYS going. It's loud. It's scratchy. It's ANNOYING and I can hear it whenever the receiver is off - my WFH setup is 15ft away from my HT setup and I can hear it all the time while working at my desk. They used a crappy PC-style fan. IF I keep this, I will swap the fan with a silent Noctua fan instead.
The ugly: Here's my one major gripe and it's a doozy. Sound is hollow and low. I'm coming from a MUCH lower powered receiver, the Marantz NR-696, and somehow this is not only QUIETER (lower at the same levels and much lower maximum volume), but the sound is lacking/hollow. I'll be re-evaluating after making some config changes, but, as much as this receiver cost, I'm really disappointed and will likely be returning it.
Final Thoughts: There should have been more though put into the pre-configured settings of this receiver. Having to modify the input and output bandwidth was a big headache and caused me a lot of frustration.

Annoying fan noise...

You mentioned the annoying fan noise and I'm confused when you say that you hear it when the unit is powered off. Normally if a receiver has a fan, it is not running when the receiver is off or on standby so I just wanted to be clear, you are saying that the fan is ALWAYS running? Even when the receiver is off or on standby? Just makes no sense to me why they would have the fan running if the unit was off or on standby and not generating any heat. Thanks

Very impressed with this Chromebook. This is a rocket ship compared to the old 11.5" Asus Chromebook I had previously. Bright, crisp HD graphics, fast performance with its upgraded 13th Gen i5 Intel CPU and fast SSD makes this thing sing. Love the Gorilla Glass screen, makes for nice super smooth scrolling on the responsive touch-screen. The games I've played so far run buttery smooth. Also love the back-lit keyboard for when I'm using it in low-light conditions. For a smaller Chromebook like this, the upgraded DTS audio sounds great. And the fact it came with its own nice padded sleeve is just icing on the cake. Yes, this Acer Chromebook is more expensive then most other 14" Chromebooks but with all its features I found it to be easily worth every penny. Nice work Acer!

No, this is a single player game. It does support online multiplayer, pitting your time against times of other racers on a particular run. Sadly there is no head-to-head racing like rally-cross where you would be racing along side other cars. But still a blast to play.
