This is NOT the 2-disc, 20th Anniversary Edition as described; this is the 1-disc standard edition. The UPC on the box (of the 1-disc version I received) matches the UPC listed in the description for this item (supposedly the 2-disc version) on Best Buy website.

Issue #1.) Google's ads...er, "staff picks" are annoying!!! The launch firmware was fantastic...responsive and easy to use, but the latest firmware update added ads. I don't mind ads in certain apps (businesses have to make money) but NOT on the homescreen of a thousand-dollar tv. ATLEAST give the customer the option of turning the ad bar off, just like we can for all of the other app bars. Sony needs to fix this on ALL their Android tv models!
Issue# 2.) The Bluetooth on this tv (and several other models) is useless. It's essentially just for the voice control on the remote. It will not see or connect to either my new Sony soundbar OR Sony portable speaker. It will pair with my (Samsung) phone, but won't do anything...not even allow music.

Pros:
Picture is very bright, HDR is amazing, there are many customization options, user interface is simple and stable. Overall, very impressed with the quality. Sony is still my favorite electronics manufacturer.

This stand is very sturdy; it's built of tubular steel, with a matte black plastic cover over the base. Owner assembly is required, but it's not too difficult of a build; all you need is a screwdriver. (It comes with numerous bolt/washer/spacer sizes, so no need to visit the hardware store.) No tempered glass on this stand (unlike most other pedestal manufactures) so breakage shouldn't be a concern. If your entertainment stand won't accommodate the wide foot placement of current tv models and you don't want to wall-mount it, this pedestal stand is a great option!

The good: The sound from this unit is a VAST improvement over speakers in Sony's tvs. It's compact in size (about 24" wide) so it will fit in with just about any tv/stand setup. And the subwoofer is integrated into the soundbar, rather than being a separate device. You can connect this unit to your tv by HDMI (ARC), optical or bluetooth. This device is ideal for a bedroom or den. Compared to the cost of other soundbars, the price of this one is very reasonable.
The bad: Bluetooth won't connect to my new Sony tv (an issue reported with several current Sony tv models) but it seems to pair with smartphones just fine. The unit has an external transformer; while the cable from the "power brick" to the unit is a good length, the cord from the plug to the "brick" is too short (18-ish inches.) Though the front of this soundbar has an attractive and sturdy metal mesh, the downward-firing subwoofer has no cover at all, so if you mount it to your tv with a bracket or to the wall, it's not the most aesthetically pleasing and could be easily damaged by kids or pets. Also, don't expect miracles when it comes to the bass, as the sub is only 3 inches, so if you want more rumble, go with a model that has a bigger sub.
