This is a really nice upgrade to prior version

The size and weight of the tablet is identical to the prior version. And the screen is the same BUT this is still a nice upgrade. It has a better processor, I think it has better wifi and just seems to work better than the prior version. Try to get it on sale ($99) when you can at which point it's an amazing bargain.
One last thing - you can put the google playstore this device. I give Amazon a lot of credit for not blocking this. Go to google and ask "how to put the playstore on your kindle fire 10" and you'll find lots of good tutorials.
All in all, a nice tablet that gets the job done.

A really good little tablet

I bought both the 8" plus and a regular 8" 2020 versions and I like them both. Best Buy had a trade in program for prior Amazon tablets and these are definitely an upgrade.
Amazon did a nice job in putting the front facing camera in landscape mode and put in a nice processor upgrade.
Just understand what you are buying. It's not an ipad mini nor does it pretend to be. And if you put the two up against each other (or even compare it to the new 10" amazon tablet) you'll see quite a difference but when you just use it on it's own, it's just fine.
Dollar for dollar, the new 10" is the better value BUT I just really like the 8" form factor. It's incredibly portable.

I don't understand why anyone likes this device that much. It's okay but the screen is subpar, movies get truncated in order to create a cinema like experience, memory expansion is awkward and the wifi doesn't work nearly as well as I expected. The ios is also awkward to use compared to windows or android. Apple fans needs to ask more from apple.

This little laptop is an amazing companion for anyone on the go or students. We bought ours today and Ive been using it for 6 hours now and Im impressed with it. Let me start by saying the specs are good and anyone who has given this a negative review either got a lemon or just dosnt know PCs. First of all with only 32GB drive you need to add a micro SD card to the slot and use it as a D drive where you can save all your data, pics etc. We added a 128GB and space is not a worry anymore. Next you will go nuts trying to find out how to get this out of S mode. S mode is Microsoft's way of checking all apps installed and keeping your pc secure. But if you are not a security freak and just want to use it like a regular Windows 10 Home edition all you need to do is try to install Google Chrome browser and it wont let you, but there it will show you the link to the settings and give you the option to convert to Home and get out of S Mode . Granted once out it will NOT let you back into S Mode. Unlike some others I have read on reviews with other brands, this gem will NOT slow down once you go with Home version (Pro). Frankly a lot of people just like using Chrome so you may want to go that route as I did. No regrets here. Now I just must rave about the touch pad! what a great new idea! Its no wonder that Asus is rated best in this size category.Be sure to check out settings and go to the touch pad for all of its features. This also has a full size keyboard I am typing away with my large hands and no problem here either. This PC has great features and good performance for the price point you just cant beat it! Follow my advice and do not hesitate buying this sweet little laptop. Also has full size HDMI and USB-C the new USB connector like on most Samsung's new phones with the round edges on each side. The WIFI is the best and sensitive with good performance at distances 40 ft away. Get one while they last! Enjoy!

interested but the screen just seems to lack

I've toyed with this device at the store several times. It seems very responsive. My hesitation is both the small hard-drive and the screen. It looks to be a matte screen which is fine but the matte combined with the low resolution just makes it super hard to read text.

DOES NOT HAVE A HEATING ELEMENT! If that’s something you want, make sure you double check if the dishwashers you are looking at has a heating element. Because this one does NOT. It also will not dry the dishes if you do not use rinse aid. Such a horrible feature. Would not have purchased if I knew this information. It also takes forever to actually wash anything. My old one would wash and dry within an hour.

I've had best buy out numerous times over this dishwasher. One tech said it does have a heating element and another said it didn't. In either case, this is a terrible, terrible, terrible dishwasher.
