For the money it’s pretty good. Not sure why it’s so nerfed from the factory. You have to dl a program on your Pc to up the resoltion and textures. It’s pretty blurry if you don’t. Haven’t tried it for pc yet but the native library has been fun. Not sure how I feel about the Facebook log in.

Awful. Watch the guy (I think sub contractor it wasn’t a bb truck) pull the tv off the truck upside down. Let it fall then kept flipping it over to get it on the porch. The other guy sat in the truck. Tv was damaged returned it myself abs picked up a replacement myself.

First TV had the bad circular dirty screen problem others have noted but it stopped turning on after 10 days anyway. Returned it to Best Buy with no problems (Best Buy are great! I would only purchase tvs from them!!) Purchased a second, thought maybe The first was a lemon. Second tv has marks, scratches and smudges INSIDE the glass that are very distracting during day time viewing. You can’t watch hockey or sports in general on this tv, there are dirty spots everywhere. Very bad quality control I guess. I should have listened to my gut and stayed with Samsung. If you buy this tv put a grey screen on and make sure you don’t have the circular dirty screen problem, it gets worse over time!

PQ is great, motion is great.... panel not so much...I got the 65” s535.... black uniformity is pretty good but... the tv has very strong vignette in the top right and left corners. Most TVs have this but you have to look for it. It’s really strong on this panel. The panel also has a yellowish / brown form of vignette going from the top left and right half way down the sides of the screen about 2” thick... sometimes it’s real noticeable, sometimes not.. seems to depend on the movie... but on apps static images it’s always noticeable. I’m debating on just returning the tv in general and trying a different brand or trying another hoping for a better panel.. if the panel was better I’d rate the tv 5/5. Like i said picture quality is on par $1500 TVs, motion is good, upscaling is good roku interface is great too. HDR could be brighter but it’s passable.... I just can’t get passed the dirty brown / yellowish corners and sides. Completely ruins the tv.

I’ve taken some pictures. This could be the worse panel I’ve seen im going back to Best Buy after work. It’s completely unacceptable and I can’t believe this got past any sort of quality control.... like - 2” thick border on the inside of the tv all around... these bad areas make any movie scene that’s white or light colored look yellowish/brown watching the first episode of game of thrones when they are in the snow looks like the tv lived with a heavy smoker for 30 years. I understand all tv have some dark corners but this panel has huge corner vignette on top of the border issues... I would change my rating to a zero. I can attach photos (I took them to show Best Buy tonight) but I can figure out how to

I was excited to have my first 4K TV and was satisfied with it for about a week until I noticed the lack of color uniformity . Beyond that I purchased a protection plan so I would have help if something like this happened but after an hour on a chat and phone exchange with geek squad, I was told I needed to contact TCL. TCL sent me a list of things to try which will take up a lot of time including resetting the TV to it factory settings and losing all the programing I had done. There is clearly something wrong with the screen and I am disappointed not only in the TV but lack of support from geek squad. I probably am sending this back.

Mine has the same dse brown line on the entire inside frame of the tv. Tcl said it meets industry standards. This tv above has the same issue. It’s basically a crap panel and tcl seems to have the biggest panel lottery I’ve seen! It runs any light color scene on these areas yellowish brown.

After having the tv for 3 weeks before I returned it because the dse was so bad. I realized what your complaint is. The tv has no MPEG or “block” noise reduction so you get the “mosquito” effect on some content when it’s decompressing the image. The roku app has a general noise reduction feature but it doesn’t even work (this is confirmed by pro review sites like rtings). Every tv I have in this house (even a cheap insignia in spare room) has MPEG noise reduction. This is especially needed if you stream a lot. I guess for the price they have to pull back on things... panels, options etc.

This TV looked great for a couple days, but then the screen started to develop a weird discoloration pattern. This was the second one to have this issue. The first one went bad and I thought "Okay, I must have gotten the bad apple", so I exchanged it for another. Same problem. This time I contacted TCL's support team. They were not helpful whatsoever, not to mention the time it took to get a response, that was basically useless. The response I received was, to put it simply, return it. Well, that's exactly what I am doing. I would not recommend this or any other TCL product to anyone.

Just got mine Tuesday it’s got the same thing like a donut in the middle with waves around it. Indies the series 5 first and panel was awful, spent more figuring this is the tcl flagship tv. Awful panels! Would not recommend!
