This is my second Sony television I have purchased in the last year, with the other being a 65" model. Sony will be my preferred brand for now on! This unit was purchased for my home office/man cave and looks amazing! The LG I had prior had very poor blacks and bad contrast, I had a hard time watching anything that had a lot of dark scenes in it, and all that is fixed with this new unit! The Sony models may cost a bit more money, but well worth it if you want a quality TV!

Great boom for the buck!

Paired this with my new Sony X85J 43" in my office. After realizing I still had the optical cable plugged in and needed to take that out to get the HDMI arc to work, everything was fantastic! Needed to replace my old sound bar as the optical cable would not let me control the volume with the TV remote, but the HDMI ARC setup doed.
The bass is very strong on this thing, even setting it at -6, the walls still shake in my room. Will say this is not in a large room, so that may have a bigger impact, but the LG I had prior I could get the bass down to a minimum for watching at night, on this one I will have to switch to TV speakers when people are trying to sleep!
Thankfully this dropped to $200 right after I started my search and is well worth that money.

Love the Atmos sound from AppleTV 4k & Sony 4k plr

When hooking up to my new Sony X950G, I had to forgo the eARc setup as I didn't want the receiver to be turned on at all times. I only wanted to be able to use the receiver when chosen. The eArc kicked on the receiver everytime I used the remote to control the TV or DirecTV box. Thankfully, just hooking the Apple TV 4K and my Sony 4k Player directly through here with a standard connection to the TV remedied that problem. Now I am able to get the Atmos sound when desired and get the Dolby Vision picture passed through to my TV when receiver is off. Menu is easy to use when setting up. Great receiver, very happy with my purchase.

It took me a while to get all the connections they way I wanted with hooking to a receiver, but once that was done, everything with this TV is amazing!! Dark blacks, bright whites, just amazing picture!! Getting the Dobly Vision through my AppleTV 4k leaves no tweaking necessary for that hook up! The standard picture settings are decent, haven't even bothered tweaking them as of yet. So glad I returned the Samsung I had ordered (was a huge headache trying to get set up the way I wanted and picture was messing up after a week!). Paid $1400 on this and was lucky enough to get credited back $200 due to price reduction within the 30 day return window! If you want a high quality TV, I don't think you can go wrong here!!!

Finally can get signal to the whole house!

After getting the pods from Comcast and finding out that you had to merge your 2.5g and 5g signals, we had to return those. Our basement in law apartment had extremely low signal due to distance from the modem. (opposite corners of the house with a floor between). After getting the extender and installing it, we now have excellent signal reception throughout the house!

Assuming with it being a Lionsgate release that the only redeem option was in VUDU. If you check the listing for The Mist in VUDU, it does not list that 4k is available on their system yet. When it does go to 4k in VUDU, you may have to contact them and get an update.
