Great monitor when it works

I love this monitor, and it easily would be a 5-star product based on design and performance, but the first monitor I purchased was a dud.
After about 3 days of using the first one, the screen starts flashing black once every hour or so. This eventually turned into the screen flashing black every few minutes with the occasional periods of it flashing on and off nonstop. I went through ACER support and used online forums and did everything I could to fix the issue without returning the product. From what I could tell, the issue stemmed from a faulty power supply, so I decided to see if I could check that out back at Best Buy. I went back to Best Buy and told the Geek Squad about the issue and they told me to just bring it back. They didn't want to try to diagnose the issue at all, it was just easier for them to give me another monitor.
So I took it back and sure enough, the second one worked just fine. If you have a similar issue with this monitor, check the power supply first. Some people have even had this issue with faulty surge protectors, so check that as well.
If you pick this up and and it works out of the box, it's great. I've had this second monitor for close to two weeks now with no issues. Honestly, it's probably my favorite monitor I've owned. I love all of the adjustments I can make with the stand. The picture is crisp, the refresh rate keeps up with anything I'm playing, and I've had no issues with ghosting.
If you can get it on sale for around $200 like I did, I think it's an excellent value for your money in the current monitor market. (December 2019)
