These are very well made, with very high quality. I like that I can use the different colors to organize music CDs into 5 different genres. Some strips of white board stock are provided and can be used to make labels and then insert them into the top of the sleeves, but I don't use those. I prefer to write on the CD with a Sharpie, and the writing can easily be read through these sleeve covers. Cheaper versions are available on Amazon, but the quality of those is poor or inconsistent. These from Best Buy are great.

Are these sleeves paper or plastic?

These sleeves are a clear plastic on the topside and a colored nonwoven (similar to diaper topsheet) on the underside, which is the side in contact with the data side of the CD. Each sleeve can hold up to two CDs, so there is another layer of clear plastic on the opposite side of the colored nonwoven.
