Completely Acceptable Viewing Experience

I enjoyed the movie and more so than the original adaptation. But that is not the point of this review.
The digital transfer is fine with nothing that distracted the viewing. The sound is also solid. Then again, this is a contemporary film, you don't exactly need Criterion to spare no expense to remaster it!
If you like the movie, this release has some informative and decently produced special features and a fine transfer of the audio/visual. It isn't a spectacular collector's item but it isn't supposed to be!

Tasty—Nice When Combined with Coffee

I like to run a pod of this at 8oz followed by some strong coffee on the "strong" setting at 4oz for a light and quick mocha-styled drink. Not bad for the extreme level of convenience.
My son and nephew also love having a cup of this when we do movie nights. It's just good, standard hot chocolate. Nothing super special, but then it isn't trying to be.
Make sure to recycle those plastic pods, though!

Do What They Intend To

The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is my lack of ability to compare it to anything else. I've never tried a different filter in my Keurig.
That being said, they are simple to replace and fairly inexpensive given their ability to help make sure every cup of coffee has clean water to during the brewing process. Not that I suggest running dirty water through them and hoping they get everything!

Decent Spooky Story, Misses Plenty of Chances

The film is spooky, but seems like it misses out on a lot of opportunities given the "horror" concept it relies on (the light mechanic, if you've seen it).
A solid addition to a horror collection, but not likely to dethrone the Exorcist or the Shining or any of the major classics. Fun, though.

Walter Hill's tale about a young white guitarist and an old blues man, Crossroads, arrives on DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. English and Japanese subtitles are accessible. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, but it would be fair to say the film has never looked better on home video than it does on this disc.

Hopefully, this film gets a more respectable HD release in the next few years. This DVD is entirely enjoyable, but I've been spoiled with remastered versions of classic films and this one deserves it!
Plus, the featurettes that could be included could be really interesting.
Regardless, while this is the only version of this film available, it is worth getting a copy if you're already thinking about it. Especially for blues nerds—they nail the music and the performances are believable.

The coffee from this thing is super weak. And sometimes it leaked. Wasn't worth the lower price compared to a Keurig—the quality is just too much lower.
I returned it an got a Keurig that has the "strong" setting and have been happy enough with the results.

Convenientish and Pretty Quick

I almost exclusively use re-usable pods so some of the convenience and quickness of a Keurig brewer is lost for me since I have to grind up and fill each cartridge AND wash them after. Sure, it's better for the environment and allows me to control the size, type, and amount of grounds, but I believe most people buy these machines for the ease of having no cleanup and prefilled pods.
The coffee is not very strong unless you reduce the amount of water and select the "Strong" button, which slows the water stream for more steeping. I would have to say that the process is less efficient than drip brewing if you are using your own grounds in reusable pods, therefore, you will end up wasting grounds comparatively. For example, I fill my reusable cartridge well above the "grounds line" (just over 2 tablespoons) use the "strong" setting, and only run 6oz of water instead of 8oz. In the long run, I'm probably getting about 15-20% fewer cups of coffee of similar strength and flavor to a drip pot. However, if I just want one small cup of coffee, this makes more sense than a drip pot.
I haven't had any problems with it and follow the cleaning and maintenance routines pretty close to the suggestions in the manual.
Decent machine and convenient for my first cup or two when I'm half-asleep and want a simple brewing process. Later in the day is when I have my "special" coffee, like a brew from a Brikka moka pot—but I don't want to deal with that first thing in the morning! So, the Keurig serves a purpose, just not the perfect brewing process or cup of coffee.

Good Film Transfer, but Not the Definitive Edition

This is a super weird movie. If you haven't seen it, recognize that it may not be for you. But in the "culty" world of cinema, this is a legendary and notable film (whether you like it or not!) for a bunch of reasons.
As far as the film transfer, this is a solid presentation of Dune. However, it is far from a definitive version. I suspect, now that Dune is being remade, that this older Lynch-directed version will get a new release and will most likely be remastered in 4K. However, that edition will be comparatively expensive. Might be better to just get this version for cheap before it is replaced.

This is my favorite flash drive. It is fast and has a massive capacity for something so small yet not overpriced. In many cases, this can just be left plugged in to a usb port and used as an extra drive. However, its tininess might actually be the only negative if you're someone with bad eyesight or easily lose things amongst clutter—these drives are really small!
As far as functionality, I'm perfectly happy with it and have bough a few of them.

Does this model have any filtering technologies? I looked at the spec-sheet on the APC website, and nothing is listed, even though this model has nearly the same attributes as the APC UPS Pro-1500VA/900W, which has full-time multi-pole noise filtering.

What is the height of the arm rests? Is the attachment of them optional?
When the chair is at its lowest setting, the top surfaces of the armrests are approximately 25" from the floor. At the highest setting, approximately 28" from the floor. Their height is not adjustable, but they can be rotated upward and backward so they are parallel with the back of the chair and out of the way. I need this feature so I can rest a guitar on my lap during recording sessions, then I rotate them forward when I'm writing so I can rest my elbows.
