Great alternative to renting

I bought this modem to prevent from renting from Xfinity and was glad that I did. It offers voice service, which I have, and has wi-fi as well. I don't have to worry about rising rental costs from Xfinity anymore as this will pay for itself, however, you do lose out on the Xfinity wi-fi options that they offer and what Netgear provides isn't as robust, but it does give what's necessary.

I love the futuristic design of this router and the multiple bands offer lots of networking options. If i were to pick a negative, it would be that the parental controls offered is a subscription service that you would have to pay monthly for. They do offer a trial period, but that should be something that should be included in my opinion. Other than that, it's really dependalbe.

I purchased this an an upgrade to my standard Blu-Ray copies and I like how everything is fitted in one nice package as well as the 4K upgrade with the Dolby Atmos sound. The only problem I had was with the delivery,,,,this was attempted by what I believe was the Best Buy delivery service but they claimed that it was undeliverable and returned it, which was totally inaccurate because my home is in a residential area with no obstructions and I was physically awaiting on my porch for it and no vehicles even came close to my location to deliver it.

I bought this unit to replace my Denon AVR X2600H that I bought last year and this one is a noticeable improvement over that model. The addition of the 2 channels increasing my channels from 7 to 9 makes a world of difference with even more sound fields such as Imax and the Aero 3D that I get the option to use. The only thing that disappoints me it that that there's only one 8K HDMI output and the firmware hasn't been updated to support that yet. Other than that small hiccup, this was a very satisfied purchase and an awesome upgrade for me.

Does this model have an HDMI cable diagnostic test to see what your HDMI cables are rated as far as the speed? If so, how is it done? I don't know why isn't it listed in the manual on how to do it, but it would be helpful
