super cold and not that loud

This unit is nice and works very well. The noise is not bad at all, much quieter than the 6 year old AC unit this one replaced. We had a 10,000BTU unit before and ir ran non stop on high most of the summer just to keepthe room at 75. With this unit at 14,000 BTUs its on eco and auto and works better. New technology and more BTUs than we needed made a huge difference. Our electric bill is also lower with keeping the room at the same temperature.

Only complaint I have is that the wife and kids had a hard time reading the X,Y,A,B keys compared to the stock controller. Product works as advertised but is way over priced for what it is and does. Save yourself a bunch of money and buy a chromecast. Remote is super sensative and scrolls or thinks you pressed the invisible button all the time. I spend more time trying to get back to movies than actually watching them. The old apple tv remote was better (and that wasn't great)

Just brought a subwoofer and connect it. Why does it hum
Hum is usually due to noise from bad cables or the wrong settings on the Stereo. I would replace the cables and make sure they are not wrapped around power cords or wall plugs. if you still have hum then I would check your stereo settings to see if you have an option for sub out or frequency cut off

If I’m setting up a 3 channel system, am I better off running the left and right speakers through the sub, or straight from the receiver, like the center speaker?

I have passive bookshelf speakers. I do get bass on subwoofer but I don't get output to the speakers.

Speakers in loft connected by 20-30 feet of speaker wire. Want to place the subwoofer between them - about 25 feet of wire will be required. Pioneer Elite receiver has an RCA jack dedicated for the subwoofer. How would I configure the connection?
