Limited vinyl LP pressing includes 12 x 12 insert. Pinkerton is the second studio album by band Weezer, released on September 24, 1996. After abandoning plans for a rock opera titled Songs from the Black Hole, Weezer recorded Pinkerton between songwriter Rivers Cuomo's terms at Harvard University, where he wrote much of the album. To better capture their live sound, Weezer produced Pinkerton themselves, creating a darker, more abrasive album than their 1994 self-titled debut. Cuomo's lyrics express disillusionment with the rock lifestyle; the album is named after the character BF Pinkerton from Giacomo Puccini's 1904 opera Madama Butterfly, whom Cuomo described as an Inchasshole American sailor similar to a touring rock starInch. My favorite Weezer album!

This reissue is amazing! I've had the CD since it first came out, but the mastering on this record provides a much raunchier sound than the original digital. Played loud, it pulls you into a soundscape of swirling guitars and Rivers Cuomo's angst, just as it should.

The album was produced by Cars frontman Ric Ocasek and recorded in Electric Lady Studios in New York City. This pressing sounds great, has little to no noise at all, but the spindle hole is very tight. The first time I played the record I had to push it down with a little force to get it on, and removing it the first few times took more effort than it should have. What a great album though, and I personally love that they put "Say it Ain't So" as the first song of Side B, it's one of my favorites from the album.

R.E.M. is one of my favorite bands and listening to this really takes me back. It's one of my favorites from them and of all time.
The LP is quiet/flat with a great sound and the dynamics sound good on my system. I did get one skip during "Try Not to Breathe" on my first listen but a good cleaning should take care of that. Really glad to have this album on vinyl!

Very entertaining movie, glad to own it

I really enjoyed this latest adaptation of Little Women. The performances were great all around. They were able to find new ways of telling the story while staying true to the novel.
The 1080p video looked good to my eyes. I don't think there is a 4K version available, yet. While this is not a movie with bombastic sound effects, the DTS-MA audio provided a nice soundscape and good surround usage when called for. Dialogue was always clear and natural.
The extras are kind of the usual EPK type short documentaries but not too bad. There are 6 of them that total ~50 minutes. I wish there were an audio commentary with the Director or the cast but this is still a solid release.

Average movie but it's Star Wars

I wasn't crazy about this film but, hey, it's Star Wars and is still great entertainment overall. I was kind of hoping they would expand on the groundwork laid in The Last Jedi (from the anyone can be force sensitive perspective). I'm not sure I like having Palpatine back, either, although Ian McDiarmid brings his A-game as always. Having said that, this is a great presentation of the movie for home. The steelbook is nice to have in the collection. The 4K video is naturally better but the 1080p blu-ray is no slouch. The Dolby Atmos sound is amazing. However, the audio mix (DTS-MA) on the 1080p blu is a little lacking. You may have to turn it up to reference levels, or maybe even a little above, to make up for the low mix. I'm still going through the supplements but it looks like there's a pretty good collection of extras here. The crown jewel is the ~2 hour "The Skywalker Legacy" documentary. And if you register the digital copy, you get a 11 minute doc on John Williams called the "The Maestro's Finale". So, all in all, this is a nice package. Just wish I liked the movie a little more. We'll see how it sits after a few more viewings.

It's only 1080p but I'm only using it for work so I don't really need higher resolutions or refresh rates. So much better than having to work off my laptop's display. No complaints so far.

I am a big fan of the original Blade Runner and all its theatrical/director's/etc. cut presentations. I thought this movie did a good job with carrying over the overall mood of the original. All the actors appear to be invested in the story and it's always good to see Harrison Ford in a role he cares about. There are some callbacks to the original so it definitely helps if you've seen it. Great A/V presentation!

I think more daughters have worn out our copy of this blu-ray. It really is a fun, lightweight movie to watch with family and friends, full of catchy songs and a good message about never giving up. This blu has a great A/V presentation with nice surround effects and low end was nice on my system. You just have to ignore the real story of PT Barnum and how he was a disgusting human being, exploiting people whom he labeled as freaks for financial gain. So take my advice and watch the movie before looking him up.

It only comes with an HDMI cable so you'll need a VGA cable if your computer only has that.
