I've been a fan of Star Trek since 1966. I have all the films and even a collection of the original series, as well as Star Trek: TNG. I've had many of the above on VHS, Laserdisc and regular DVD. I was really hoping this recent transfer up to 4K-UHD with Dolby Vision would be spectacular. It certainly should have been.
Sadly, I have to say it wasn't even close. I found the film to be DARK AND GRAINY. I currently own over a thousand discs, with well over 400 being Blu-ray and so far I have 97 4K-UHD films. So I've gotten pretty good at knowing what a good transfer should look like . . . and this ain't it!
I just read a professional review where even it acknowledged this transfer is at best rated at B+. I think that was overly-generous, as this should at best be a C-. My equipment is a fully ISF Calibrated LG-G2 77" OLED, Panasonic 9000 player and an upper-end Denon receiver. Paramount should be ashamed of this transfer.

[Employee of bestbuy] I purchased 2 of these mainly because i read it had hdmi 2.1 and 4 hdmi ports. The specs on the website are innacurate the TV has 3 Hdmi inputs and does not support the hdmi 2.1 standard. The tv is surprisingly good being 60hz its very bright easy to setup. Volume was average. The interface works we use Apple TVs so we wont be using Tizen overall good product.

Always check the Impedance & System plugged into!

HD 599 has a high Impedance requirement to be plugged into -- such as an integrated stereo system, or receiver that can handle the high ohms impedance -- found in higher end systems. The HD 569 is 32 Ohms, and it should sound better -- even if plugged into a lower end system.

Sony has broken these with a bad firmware and are unwilling to fix it or even admit there's a problem. When watching dual layer discs, this thing locks up hard about 3/4th the way through the movie. There are some settings you can try to adjust, but they don't fix the issue. I've reached out to Sony but they pretended like there aren't tons of people complaining about this issue. Buy something else.

The X700 player has not received a firmware update since 5/2022. We are greatly in need of an update for stability of system/ and to resolve playback issues of newer disc. Please understand, many of your loyal customers have turned off both the outdated 4k upscaler and the cinema mode (choosing video only). Nevertheless, I have an outstanding HDMI cable, an outstanding surge protector (with MOV), and chosen Direct when watching a movie -- connected to a Sony 2022 model (X1 Pro Processor) -- no DV.
Again, please request the department, in charge of updating X700 software to be propitious -- urgently needed -- software update for stability of system/ resolve playability of newer discs!

What is the differences in specs between the SonyW600D-and this model? Does the motionflow feature and upscaling work better on the newer model?
Best features, but not limited: HDR; X1 Pro Engine; six years newer than 600D. Also, this set has Cinema Motion: auto or off., based on 60HRZ. I set this feature off, but it might befit sports, gaming, or fast action movies?
Again, 2160/24p, 1080/24p is converted to 720/24p. Finally, HDR looks good for UHD movies or streaming movies that benefit from HDR.

I've not tried the Bluetooth on the set -- but, what I've been able to find out: only for Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Thus, not for Bluetooth Audio.
Genuinely, look for WLA-NS7 Wireless TV Adapter
Model: WLA-NS7 (external Bluetooth transmitter)-- plugs into optical out on the set, and be able to use certain Sony Bluetooth Headphone models. Or, Sony - UBP-X800M2 player has a built in Bluetooth transmitter, and certain soundbars have built in Bluetooth transmitters, too.
Nevertheless, if you want Bluetooth Audio transmitter built into the 32inch set: Samsung (QN32Q60A).
I really enjoy this Sony set, and its features.
