Not enough power for a USB powered arc welder, but enough for an Apple Watch. This is what should have been in the box with the watch and the USB-C cable. Hey Apple, surprise, not everyone has a USB-C charger! Only feature on my unfulfilled wish list is for the prongs to the ac connection to fold into the body or for the form factor to be narrower for packing away in the smallest size possible. Otherwise, a good product doing its job.

This unit is working great so far. A good balance of size, price and performance. One of the unique aspects of this unit is the inclusion of the mounting template printed on the outside of the box as opposed to the inclusion of a flimsy, hard to use paper template. Big improvement on this unit over the next model down that we had purchased and returned due to a faulty filter mounting design. This unit runs quieter than the model just under it although the low frequency tone of the magnetron is quite prominent.

Close, but no Cigar

Bought this unit and feel like it is a good compromise regarding size, price and performance. However, before installing it, I read through the manual and noticed that they recommended replacing a carbon filter every 6 months. So I thought to myself, lets see if this filter change would be difficult to accomplish once the beast is mounted. So with the aid of a convenient countertop and full easy access to the filter location area, I discovered that no, it would be impossible to change the filter without removing the entire cover. It seems that when they made the sliding part to give access to the filter, they made it too large to be removed. Now it should be noted that that filter is probably not as much an issue for those venting outside of the home, but for those recirculating air through the filter, it will be a more pressing issue. We returned the unit and purchased the next more expensive unit in the line, which also happened to be a Consumer Reports best unit pick and have been very happy so far. More features, quieter operation and a functioning filter change mechanism made the more expensive unit worthwhile.

Returned product due to poor longgevity outlook

I bought this enclosed 2.5" drive from Western Digital because it had a good price and was easy to implement. I normally use an external drive and enclosure for doing backups when needed and don't let the drive run all the time that the computer is on. I returned this drive because of an unsettling choice made by this and as it turns out, other manufacturers. The new versions of external drives like this one are now attaching the interface directly to the drive, eliminating the possibility of replacing the case and interface due to a future interface problem. In my experience, the drives are much less likely to fail compared to the interface. But when the interface does fail on these new drives, you can't replace it because of the directly soldered connections to the drive. The data is what is valuable, the warranty means nothing other than the confidence of the manufacturer of how long they think the drive might last. When I returned this drive, I purchased an internal WD 3.5 inch drive and supplied my own standard, easily replaceable interface case for it to be used externally. I will never again buy a pre-enclosed drive supplied from a manuafcturer with this short-sighted design. My opinion born out by involvement in the computer business since 1978.

Store edited photos, videos, and games on this 3.5-inch Western Digital hard drive. It has dynamic cache for optimizing allocation between reads and writes, and there's plenty of space to store files with its 4TB capacity.

Do sides, front, top, back get extremely hot to touch? Use a wooden cutting tray work for top? NOTHING 4" from both sides, 6" from back and top? Have many gatherings and afraid of accidental burns. Looking into BOV860, BOV900, BOV845
You are correct that the top, left side, back and front can get quite hot. Surprisingly, the right side is unaffected by the heat due to the insulating aspect of the electronics compartment. This is judged by making my morning toast made only a few minutes ago, Longer heating times would naturally yield even more heat, i would suspect. We purchased the Breville cutting board designed for our BOV860 oven to set on top, partially for its heat deflecting capabilities and even more so as a scratch deterrent from storing the accessories on top for easy access. The secret to the cutting board is the heat proof feet which slightly elevates the board from on top of the oven and seem impervious to its heat. We are very happy with this unit and chose it based on family word of mouth with the brand and with the practicality of the slightly smaller size of this model compared to the largest model. Seemed like the best fit for our family. Good luck with your choice.

Capture clear images with help from this Sunpak PlatinumPlus 6700M 620-670BB monopod that features a rubber foot with a retractable spike to provide stable support. The standard mounting plate accommodates a wide variety of cameras and camcorders.
Can the bottom spike screw out all the way to be removed? I'd like to use the monopod upside-down; attaching my 360d camera to what is now the bottom and a mini tripod foot to was is now the top. This'll minimize the monopod showing in the 360d photos.

It looks like the metal threaded portion is fixed and a rubberized stopper rotates down to meet a fixed spike at the bottom that captivates the rubber piece. So it looks like you can’t remove it. Sorry for the bad news. I’ll try to send photos. It is possible that the whole threaded rod might be able to be removed, but it is swaged in place so you might not be able to secure a new threaded rod in its place. Good luck!
