First, I didn't read the book. Some were not happy. Got it.
The first part of the movie is fantastic especially when you go into the new world but thing fall off a bit as the movie goes on. I'm not sure why this is.
Picture is clear and colors (when available) are wonderful.

It was very hard to get the Steelbook and I thank the guys at my local Best Buy for finding one.
When they refer to 4K as reference quality this is it.
The picture is so crazy sharp you will find yourself stopping the scene just to stare at it.
The 4k version is the way to go.

There is always comparing. You can't help it. But I like that this version is slightly different, giving some more back story and making Belle the brains. ( At Emma Watson's suggestion)
The live action Cinderella could have taken this chance and didn't.
With the 4k cut of this film, there is a greater sharpness in the overall picture and the "Be my Guest" sequence is just crazy good.

I bought this 75th Anniversary Edition because it contained not only an amazing, detailed colorized version but it also contained the full Broadway Musical version too.
Yes, this is a weird movie based on men trying to steal each others girlfriends and yes you might want to fast forward through the black face number but it does have Fred Astaire dancing with fire crackers, a musical number you won't soon forget.
And yes this was $9.99 at BB!

This is my review. I neglected to watch the attached blu ray of the Broadway Musical. It is wonderful! I would gladly pay $20 just for this blu ray.
The story is a bit different (thank goodness!) The production quality is top notch, the sets and costumes wonderful.! they have included other Irving Berlin songs to the original songs.
I bet you will watch the Broadway Production more times than the movie.
A steal for $9.99 at BB!
