Need to turn off turbo boost mode

Overall a very nice laptop, but it runs hot. I added a second SSD drive using the NvMe connector on the mother board. Due to increased heat, the drive started to fail intermittently. After some researched, I turned off processor turbo boost mode. That made a big difference in heat build up. I am using it in that mode. Performance is ok with turbo boost off

Disable turbo boost to prevent overheating

Is it overheating? I had one which I returned. Had blue screen and reset. Got another model. That runs hot but no resets. I thought this could cause damage in the long run. I disabled turbo boost in the bios settings, that made it run a lot cooler and not much of a performance hit

I recently purchased a 17" LG Gram with 12th Gen i7 Intel Processor. I am seeing heat issues with the system, where adding another NvMe drive to the mother board causes failures in system recognizing the drive and read/write errors.
