One I enjoy watching over & over through the years
on April 22, 2020
Posted by: ArtJ
Verified Purchase:Yes
-Feature: One that I never get tired of watching for many factors. The storyline, drama, action, 80s synths soundtrack, score, performances, betrayal, emotions, a message & the search for a broken dream. Worth the buy & upgrade!
Pros: -Picture; HDR 10 that looked impressive. -Sound; DTS:X was not as heavy as I would’ve liked but there was a handful of immersive scenes during shots & overhead effect when the helicopters hovered over the highway in the opening scenes. An upgrade from the previous 7.1 -Digital Copy; Yes, only 4K HDR but no immersive sound. -Slipcover; No.
Cons: -Digital Copy; limited.
-Gear used for sound & visuals: LG 65’ C6P 4k/3D passive OLED (manually calibrated) 9.2 Onkyo RZ + pre amp for 7.2.4/11.2 (integrated calibrated then manually tweeted with SPL sound level meter & balance/adjust for full dynamic range) Klipsch P-REF towers center sides rears & dual R112SW subs Polk Audio MC80 8’ quad in-ceiling heights Oppo 4K UDP-203 Monster cables: Premium Black Platinum HDR HDMIs, THX Audio RCA, Digital Subwoofer Cables & Fiber Optic Ultra 1000 Monoprice 14 gauge awg copper speaker wire Nakamichi Speaker Plugs Auralex Acoustic Isolation platforms

-Feature: Enjoyed this one better than 4 & 7. Like the fact that there’s a surprise from the first one in there & having to bring back some gruesome fatalities.
Pros: -Picture; Full 1080. -Sound; 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. -Digital Copy; Yes, limited to only Vudu. -Slipcover; Yes.
Cons: -feature; no Warwick Davis. -Digital Copy; limited.
Wishes: Could use a 4K release w/ immersive audio being 2018 at the time.

-Feature: Refreshed my viewing after watching it in 1992. If you enjoy vampire movies, this one is a must.
Pros: -Picture; Great to see it release in 4K. Of course have to change to another custom HDR setting to avoid magnifying grain & ended up looked clean, smooth , yet sharp with strong color. -Digital Copy; Yes, full version with Vision & Atmos. -Slipcover; Yes.
Cons: -Sound; While it is appreciated to get released with Atmos, it was nothing that stood out. It was mostly front stage active. I have heard movies that are even older that had top notch immersive surround effect like Blade Runner is a reference demo in my book.

The creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky Addams family is back in a hilarious sequel that finds Gomez (Raul Julia) and Morticia (Anjelica Huston) welcoming new son Pubert into the world, Uncle Fester (Christopher Lloyd) getting hitched to the baby's new conniving nanny (Joan Cusack), and Wednesday (Christina Ricci) and Pugsley (Jimmy Workman) disrupting a happy summer camp. Co-stars Carel Struycken, Carol Kane; directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.

Pros: -Picture; Glad it finally made it to blu 1080p & looks better than ever. -Sound; 5.1 surround. All the thunders scenes made it great sounding coming out the ceiling via Neural:X DTS simulating immersive surround. -Slipcover; Yes.
Cons: -Digital Copy; No, which is disappointing in today’s time (minus one star). The most frustrating part is the double feature release in one after I picked up this one up (minus two star).

-Feature: This is one of those movies where you find yourself glued to the screen not wanting to miss a second & never pay attention to the time asking yourself “when will this be over.” It’s a keepsake & worth buying to watch over again! One of the best Biopic titles out there.
Pros: -Picture; Dolby Vision never disappoints. -Slipcover; No but it was a steelcase. -Digital Copy; Yes, full version w/ Atmos & Vision.
Cons: -Sound; Atmos track was mainly front stage active. Could’ve use more immersive surround.

-Movie: One to watch again. Great to see another female as the lead & this time a Latina for a change!
Pros: -Picture: 3D/4K combos are the best! Can’t go wrong with Dolby Vision. 3D was average, however not a top one but not the worst. -Sound: Atmos, could have use more realistic, immersive effects. -Digital Copy: Yes, full version with D. Vision & D. Atmos. -Steelbook: Yes. - Factory packing: The stretchy wrapping that allows me to put a slit & repurpose it as a dust cover.
Cons: The only dislike here & it’s a huge one is the fact that the 3D version didn’t have Atmos. That was a massive let down which hence the loss of a star.
