You have to have Origin from EA. It adds it to your Origin library of games. As long as you have Origin, you can launch it.
The only drawback I have seen is Face of the Franchise spam in your face constantly. Every time I swap menus around, I see this. I even started it up and then left and it still spammed this in my face. It is like a pop up ad for their new mode.
