The transparency mode or ambient sound mode is greatly improved. The sound quality is slightly diminished. I prefer the sound profile of the wf-1000 xm4’s. However, I do like that these can be used with the LDAC codec while connected to 2 devices at the same time. The xm4’s were only capable of one or the other but not both at the same time.
