Perfect for Motorcycles

Perfect fit under my motorcycle helmet. I switched out the the tips that come with the headphones for some foam tips (allows for better fit and still allows in some noise for safety purposes). The flat design to the backs and in ear fit allow me to put on my helmet without pulling the headphones out of my ears, so I'm a big fan
Now for the review:
Sound is Sony quality, which means its better than average. Bass is deep but not over powering. Hard to judge mids as I wear them while riding 60 miles an hour in a helmet, but vocals and higher ranges are clear.
Battery life is phenomenal, Sony claims 14 hours and I have no reason to doubt that, as I'm still at 70% after initial charge.
No issues with dropping connectivity even under my motorcycle jacket and my phone in my pocket.
No review on voice or call quality as I'm strictly using them for my rides and haven't attempted. Big perk for me is also no false dialing when my helmet hits the controls.
Overall, Great value for someone looking for a pair to wear under a helmet.

Best TV I've ever owned
on November 1, 2020
Posted by: BigBen
Verified Purchase:Yes
I would like to start with the negatives of this tv. It's just easier to tell you what I'm not in love with vs all of the things I love about this TV. In no particular order:
1. The Magic Remote - while this may be a positive for some, it's definitely not my thing. I own an LG LED model tv so I'm familiar with the remote but it doesn't make it easier to like. It's overly sensitive (imagine an Apple TV remote that has a cursor) and likes to wake up every time it's bumped or moved.
2. Reflection - It's common knowledge that OLED TVs have issues with picking up reflection, it's just the nature of the beast. However, I can't seem to turn on any light source without it being picked up for someone in the room. I tend to keep our TV room as dark as possible, but on occasion, I need to use my laptop or turn on a lamp to see the remote. The TV can pick that up and reflect it to others in the room. I've raised the height of the TV to around 5ft off the floor and that seems to have helped some. Just be forewarned, the best possible picture quality requires a very dark room.
That's about it for the negatives, as for the advantages, I'll just hit my favorites, again in no particular order:
1. HDMI 2.1 and number of ports - There are 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, and while that might not sound impressive, it's a real advantage when you think about streaming devices, game consoles, blu ray players, and the like. And while 2.1 is the newest standard and very few devices will take advantage of that now, it will come to mean something in the next few years. Basically, you are getting a TV that will be relevant for many years to come.
2. Picture quality - Obviously, you are getting the Gold Standard of TV picture with an OLED. LG makes most of the OLED displays used today, so it should be expected that they have one of the best displays. With Dolby Vision, colors really pop and when hooked up to a 4k source like a 4K Apple TV or 4k Blu-Ray player, the picture is almost unreal. It feels like you can reach into the picture and touch objects, truly amazing.
3. Sound Quality - Most modern TVs have fair to poor sound quality and the thinner the TV, the worse the sound. Not so here (or hear) due to the base of the TV, which helps to direct the sound out towards the viewer. I'm not sure how good it sounds if it's wall-mounted, but with the stand, it's as good as it gets. I've hooked up my surround sound, so I don't use it as often, but when I don't want to shake the house at night or need quieter viewing, the sound is really impressive.
4. The LG user interface - While not exactly a selling point, it's pretty easy to make adjustments to picture, sound, and use the streaming apps. The descriptions and settings make it pretty easy to understand what you're adjusting and how it impacts the overall experience. I don't use the streaming apps all that much, as I use Apple TV for my streaming, but my wife and daughter prefer the TVs version for their apps. They are easy to navigate and are very responsive.
I hope this was helpful for some of you on the fence shoppers. I purchased mine back in July of 2020, just as they were hitting stores, so I paid handsomely (or foolishly). At its current pricing, it's more in line with what I believe it's worth, around $1900. If you're in the market for a premium tv that will remain a solid experience for years to come, do yourself a favor and give this one a shot.

Beautiful picture, small issues
on July 25, 2020

Verified Purchase:Yes
Purchased this tv due to the sale and promise of OLED type picture quality. I must say the picture quality is excellent. It's bright and the colors are vivid, once you use the app to tune it in. The sound quality is quite good for a screen this flat. For those who may not be aware, not matter the manufacturer, flat panel TV's tend to struggle when it comes to sound quality. Nature of the beast, small bezels and flat screens = no room for great speakers. Sony is actually making the screen part of the speaker, which is cool, but expensive. Blacks are not as good as OLED, not in the same ballpark really. It is better than about 90% of the LCD screens out there currently, so still a win in my book.
Couple of negatives. The first being the remote being slow to respond. We have Roku devices in all of the bedrooms and we love them, however this remote is incredibly slow to respond for some reason. Tried a new set of batteries just to be on the safe side and no difference. Weird. The second is that it didn't play well with my much loved (and expensive) home theater system. If you stream using the TV's built in apps, no problem. If you use Apple TV routed through a 4k AV reciever, it begins to develop a Lip Synch issue over time. Same happened with our 4k Blu-ray player routed through the reciever. When I went straight to the tv from the devices, worked ok. Seems like the problem would be the receiver right? Nope. When I hooked everything up to a new LG CX, worked like a charm. So, it came down to the TCL vs the surround sound system, and unfortunately for TCL, the sound system cost more than the TV, so my choice was clear.
Returned the TV and jumped into the deep end with the LG CX and I'm much happier...and more deeply in debt.
If you're looking for a very good TV for 1k or so, you can't go wrong with the TCL series 8. Beautiful picture, good sound and the excellent Roku software. If you're hooking it up to a AV system, just be aware there maybe some issues.

This is my second HP laptop in the last 10 years. My last one (15 inch) was fine and I mainly used it for word processing and web browsing. It was big and heavy with a huge bezel. Needless to say, this laptop is a huge change. I expected to miss the 15 inch screen but because the bezel is so thin, it feels like the screen is larger than 13 inches. . This laptop is extremely more portable, has a brighter screen and is blazing fast. My last HP had an I-7 processor as well, but it was nowhere near as quick.
Truthfully, I feel it's every bit the equal of my 2019 MacBook Air (Work laptop). In a few ways I prefer the Spectre. The keyboard is far and away better than the Air's much maligned keyboard, it has just as nice of a screen and is faster starting up and opening Microsoft Office. The battery doesn't seem to last quite as long as the Air but it's close enough that it hasn't presented a problem for me.
The only real issue I have with the Spectre is the heat it generates. If I'm using it for anything other than web browsing, it starts getting pretty dang hot. I've had to go back to using a cooling fan just because I don't want to take the risk of damaging the internal components. The issue may come from the low profile of the shell. It's so thin that it doesn't really get any clearance off the surface it's sitting on, so the heat doesn't have any way to dissipate.
If you're looking for a powerful, portable, good looking laptop, then do yourself a favor and take a look at this one.

I’ve always resisted purchasing what I consider to be fad products, such as rotisserie cookers, air fryers, or anything that has a 30 min ad on tv. From what I have observed with friends and family, they take up a lot of precious counter space and get used a few times and then end up in a garage, attic or taking up precious cabinet space. The only things I’ve owned that I put to good use were a crock pot and a George Foreman grill, both relics of my batchelor past.
This year my wife asked for a Ninja Foodi and I was skeptical to say the least. All of her girlfriends own one and they keep singing it’s praises. I did some research on several sites and we decided to take the plunge. Turns out this thing is pretty cool.
Pros:
Air fryer, pressure cooker, rice cooker, crock pot, and basically everything other than traditional oven/stove combo.
It's incredibly fast and is easy to understand how it works. I was concerned I would need to go to a class to figure out how to use this thing.
Feels very sturdy and well made. Time will tell but feels very solid.
Very easy to clean. The main pot has a non stick surface.
Cons:
Large footprint, which eats up a chunk of counter space. It also has a bit of weight to it. Not a problem for us but may be an issue for a elderly person.
We haven’t had the chance to put it through all of its paces yet, but so far it’s lived up to the billing. I will update our review as we use it more and more.

excellent... for the price
on November 15, 2019

Verified Purchase:Yes
To start, I picked these up on a pre Black Friday Sale for 200 vs the normal 350. Had they been full price, I would've gone with the Bose 35 or Sony Wh1000M3 for the same price. I have full faith in those brands and the reviews are excellent from both the media and customers. However, with the sale, I decided to give them a chance.
My favorite aspects of the headphones are:
Ear Comfort - The ear pads are very soft. They don't pinch against the side of my head even with my rather large noggin. They also feel very secure as I move around and bend over without being uncomfortable. They did warm up my ears a bit after 2 straight hours but they never became hot.
Ease of connectivity - I use a lot of Apple products and once paired they easily switch between all of my devices. I especially liked that they connected to Apple TV so that I don't have to run my surround sound after my wife and kids have gone to bed.
Build and Ease of use - They feel very sturdy and have a nice look that doesn't call attention to themselves. I would have liked to have had the dark blue option available, c'est la vie. 1 side has your volume controls and play/pause/answer function while the other side has the power/NC feature. Once I put on my glasses, it was pretty easy to figure out how to use the buttons. I wouldn't say they were exactly intuitive but easy enough.
Sound Quality - Nice Bass and Mids without being too much and a nice clear quality. As a late 40's guy, I still like to turn it up on occasion. However, I do appreciate my hearing a lot more than I used to, so I usually keep them at a low to moderate volume.
Battery Life - Without the NC active, they claim 40 hours between charges. With NC on they run 20+ before needing to recharge. So far I've had them just over a week and I haven't charged after the initial charge. I've been using them about 2 to 3 hours a day, with a mix of NC on and off, and they're still over half charged. Impressive..at least to me.
Pretty Good Noise Cancellation - This is where things have to be taken in perspective. With the other brands I mentioned earlier, you can tell the NC is working even without any music playing. Everything quiets down as soon as you put them on. The Beats do a good job at eliminating a lot of background when music is playing but otherwise, they aren't on the same level as the Bose and Sony. They also weren't 350, so my expectation is somewhat more reasonable. I'm in for 4+ hour flight soon, so that'll be a better test of the NC.
Head Comfort - They're a little tight, in particular if you wear glasses. They're also a bit heavy. Being follicly challenged as I am, they can be a bit uncomfortable sitting against my skin. Between the weight and cool material, it took me a minute to get used to. Not a deal breaker but not ideal.
In summary, If you made it to the end of this epic review, you're better than me, I lost interest after Ease of Use. Nevertheless, I'm very pleased with the purchase and recommend them at the sale price.

Fantastic Series
on October 19, 2019

Verified Purchase:Yes
I took a bit of a gamble on this series as I had never heard of it and didn’t even realize DC had a streaming service. Great cast, story and effects. Reminiscent of a grittier version of the Netflix Marvel series. (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage) Definitely not for the younger kids (12 and under) as the language is R rated and some the situations are definitely more adult in nature. That being said I watched it with my 15 daughters and they enjoyed it as much as I did.

Beautiful picture quality

I’m always a little skeptical of 4K transfers of films that were released prior to the recent 4K movement. However, this film looked absolutely beautiful in 4K. I was very pleased with the picture and sound quality. As for a review of the movie itself, obviously I’m a fan or I wouldn’t have purchased the movie. Underrated, fun movie with strong leads and an interesting take on the Robin Hood story.

Not Sure What Happened
on September 8, 2019

Verified Purchase:Yes
I've always been a fan of the series but something feels off this year with the game. My main issue is with the "feel" of the players. While playing in MyCareer, it almost feels like my player is on skates. Even with all of the VC that came with the pre-order, I can't seem to get to a point that my player moves well enough to keep up on offense or defense with the CPU. The control doesn't feel as tight as it has in the past, although the animations can be aborted better than in previous versions. The story mode is pretty entertaining but short.., and it helps if you're a Lebron fan. Don't want to ruin anything, but it's clear his company produced the story. I do love the inclusion of the WNBA and it's fun to play around with.
In summation, as a grown person with a fulltime job and family, I really would like the game to be a little more "pick up and play" friendly. I don't have 4 hours a day to practice moves and work on "my stick game". I want to be able to have a little fun in the hour and a half I get to myself every night after everyone hits the hay. In the first episode of 2kTV, one of the Pros complains about previous versions being too easy to pick up and compete with the Pros. I don't care about competing with them, I just want to be able to enjoy playing around on something I spent $80 on.

Purchased to replace an older beard trimmer. Holds a charge for a long time and is easy to use. Only drawback is the guard isn’t as long as my previous one so it cut my beard much shorter that I had anticipated, even with it set as long as possible.

Which one is better in performance, frames per second, and other perks? This computer or the “ASUS - 15.6" Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 - 8GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 - 512GB SSD - Fortress Gray”

Not a whole lot of difference in my opinion. The Intel chip outperforms AMD in most expert analysis but the difference between the two wouldn’t be very noticeable for most users. Safe bet is to go with the intel 10th gen 7 for the extra money. My son wanted that one because he considers himself a “serious gamer” (I wish he was a serious student instead) but I would easily recommend the AMD as well. Take the savings with the AMD and add additional RAM and a cooling pad (it gets pretty hot) and you won’t be disappointed. Both need the additional ram to play the more intensive games and it helps future proof it for at least 3 years or so. Hope that helps some

Does it get crashed? In review theyre saying it?

it hasn't crashed in since we bought it and my son uses it strictly for gaming. We did add another 8gb of ram so that may help. It does get very hot during his marathon gaming sessions but we have it elevated somewhat in the rear to make it easier to cool and it's never overheated or shut down

Is this the early 2019 model or a later 2019 model. Hp’s website reviews stated the later ‘19 model was better...

Due to it using the 10th gen Intel processor (released in late August '19) I'm assuming it's the better late 19 model. All of the reviews linked on the Best Buy website referenced it as the later model.
