Limited double vinyl LP pressing including gatefold jacket. Pearl Jam is the eighth studio album byPearl Jam, released on May 2, 2006 on J Records. It was the first and only for J Records, their last album issued by Sony Music. It was the band's first full-length studio in almost four years, since Riot Act (2002). Following their performances at the Vote For Change tour in 2004, the band commenced work on Pearl Jam in November 2004 at Studio X in Seattle, Washington and finished in February 2006. The music on the record was proclaimed as a return to the band's roots, with an emphasis on up-tempo songs with an aggressive sound. The song lyrics are mostly told from the point of view of characters and deal with the socio-political issues in the United States at the period, such as the War on Terror. Pearl Jam was critically well received and was a commercial success, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 chart and eventually outselling the band's previous , Riot Act. Limited double vinyl LP pressing including gatefold jacket. Binaural is the sixth studio album by Pearl Jam, released on May 16, 2000 through Epic Records. Following a full-scale tour in support of it's previous album, Yield (1998), Pearl Jam took a short break before reconvening toward the end of 1999 to begin work on a new album. During the production of the album, the band encountered hindrances such as singer Eddie Vedder's writer's block, and guitarist Mike McCready's entrance into rehabilitation due to an addiction to prescription drugs. The music on the record featured an experimental sound, evident on songs that used binaural recording techniques. The atmospheric tracks, mostly featuring somber lyrics dealing with social criticism, led the band to convey these themes with images of nebulas in the album artwork. Best of the Doobie Brothers on vinyl of course has their best songs from their decades long catalog. The 2nd album, InchToulouse StreetInch (which spawned the hits and classic rock staples, InchListen to the MusicInch, and InchJesus Is Just AlrightInch), brought the band their breakthrough success after it's in July 1972 and it was from this that showcased the Doobies' trademark sound an amalgam of R&B, country, bluegrass, hard rock, roadhouse boogie, funk, and rock and roll.
