Cost effective and good quality

My son was looking for some decent, but cheap speakers to go with his computer. Turns out, that's a bigger deal than it used to be. We found another high quality pair that was over $100 and then we found the Logitech ones for about half of that. He opted for the version with the sub just to get more bass and he says the work pretty well.
He likes to mix music and says these fit the bill pretty well. The range isn't as good as high-end speakers, but for the price he is very happy.

Great Mid-level Wireless Combo

Got this for the wife for her work computer because her old wired keyboard was flexible enough for her. This one is the middle of the road as far as cost goes for wireless Logitech and it performs as you'd expect. No significant delay, decent distance for flexibility, and a good size for typing. I'm not a huge fan of the smaller mouse, but she likes it and that's what matters. The mouse does have some weight to it so you don't over move.
She's had it for about a month and the batteries are still pretty full and she's not had to mess with the wireless dongle or connection issues. I call that a win for under $30.

Excellent Entry Level Gaming Laptop

Let me preface this by saying I've owned high end gaming laptops and basic business laptops so I'm gauging this one off my experience between them all.
We got this for my college freshman as a way for him to join in with his dorm floor gaming groups without spending a bunch of money on a laptop. It was on sale for $600 and had decent specs so we though we'd give it a shot.
I'm not a fan of Acer in general because of past experience, but couldn't pass up the price/specs relationship.
He loves it. Says it does all he needs it to do and does it quickly. They play League of Legends which isn't a huge demand on a system, but he's played some FPS and said it holds up well with them as well (not on max settings, but at or above good quality). He says the screen is nice and clear, refresh rates are good, and speed is impressive (booting and processing). The dedicated graphics card is a must and does well with frame rates. Solid state drive is a little small, but entry level is as expected.
His only complaint to this point is the weight (it's bulky) and the keyboard layout/appearance. Nothing major in any way.
I think he'll upgrade the memory (8 is really bare minimum these days) and he'll use an external drive for data, but it supports those options according to specs.
I would actually give it 4.5 stars, but that's not possible. It's a great compromise when you need something, but don't want to (or can't) spend the money other manufacturers require.

So Far, So Good

I bought this to charge an outdoor camera that has a lot of activity, but is mounted in an inconvenient location to access. While my other Arlo cameras are last more than a month between charges, this location was needed charged every week.
I read the reviews and was concerned about all the bad ones, but decided it was worth a shot.
Installation was easy, attaching it to the camera was easy, and it just works. Granted, it's only been a month, but it has successfully charged that camera to 100% every day and we've had multiple rainy days in a row.
I don't know how long it'll last or what will happen in the winter, but for high summer sun days it is working like a charm.

So Good, I Bought It Twice

I bought this to protect my tv and entertainment system (game consoles, sat receivers, sound system, etc). Mainly, I got it so I could safely shut down everything when we lost power. I knew the battery wouldn't keep it running long enough to outlast a blackout from a storm, but electronics really hate to be unceremoniously unplugged while running. I found this model with a price tag between the cheap ones and the more expensive that would be overkill for me.
I bought the first one years ago and it saw me through brown outs and even a few storms that took us down for hours. I have a good 10 minutes to see if it's going to come back on and if not, power everything down in preparation.
The batteries finally died in the old one and I discovered the one flaw for my use. When the batteries die, so do the outlets that are battery backed up. So I can't use it as a power strip on those outlets, but the surge suppressed ones still work. I would rather the batteries die and it goes into a permanent bypass mode that just gives me all the outlets with surge protection.
But, considering I got 6+ years out of the original, I thought it was a great investment and replaced it with the updated model.

Awesome-ish

Let me start off by saying this thing is pretty awe inspiring and fun to use. I've used the Google cardboard (or whatever they're called) and other headsets with the phone strapped into them and was meh. So when I saw this stand alone unit for a really good price, I thought I'd give it a shot.
It is truly immersive and you have no light leak or blind spots like in other sets I've tried. The system seems to process fast enough to keep you immersed and the free content available will give you plenty to look at for weeks.
So why the 3 stars? There are some real shortfalls with it and they are worth noting.
1) I'm guessing based on price, but the clarity of the image leaves a lot of room for improvement. It's clear, but not very detailed or vibrant.
2) The battery life is abysmal. At a max of 2 hours, you can't even watch a full length movie without a separate battery pack or having it plugged in.
3) The sound plays out of speakers on the headset which gives a nice 3D effect to it. However, they're not enclosed speakers so anyone and everyone around you has to listen to what you're listening to and, worse in my opinion, you can hear everything going on around you.
4) Being a Facebook product, it really likes to integrate with FB. It pulls up your feed and recommends friends, etc which I just don't like. I've never had anything cross over between the devices, but with their history I would not be that surprised to see my FB page start advertising movies similar to what I watch on the Oculus.

Very Good, But Not Great

I got this set up on sale for a decent price after hearing some good things about it. I will say that I am very pleased with it overall and it's been installed for a couple months.
The positives: the picture is 720p which is clear enough to make out people you know and it'll even read a license plate if they're in the driveway. You're not going to get 1080p clarity, but I didn't really need it and I knew what to expect. That being said, the picture is clearer than I thought it would. The night vision works great and I have one camera next to a porch light that automatically comes on at dusk. No fee if you're good with the 7 day recordings. And truly wireless so no trying to find a power source near where you want to mount them.
The negatives. There is a small, but significant delay between the cameras and the base. So you might get a notice that there's motion, but by the time it comes in the object is already gone. Even when you pull up the "live" view it is delayed by as much as 30-45 seconds. No wires means you have to climb up to charge them every so often (time depends on activity on them) and to get any adapters to keep them powered is pretty expensive. Charging the cameras is kind of pain too because I have not found a single cable/power unit that works so you're forced to use the single one that comes with the kit. Unless you're paying for the "pro" plan, you cannot set schedules for individual cameras. It's all or none.
So, several headaches, but with a lot of nice options and for a decent price (to start anyway).

Impressive, but Not Quite Perfect

I own several Amazon devices with Alexa integration and had heard great things about the Fire Cube. It has built in support for tv's and sound systems, it lets you control nearly everything related to entertainment, and it has great speed and visual quality.
It does most of those things very well, but not seamlessly as I'd hoped. It can turn on and off my tv (Samsung), it can control my DirecTv receiver (but so can any of their devices), and it can interface with my Samsung sound bar. However, it is not always intuitive and does have limitation with each of those devices.
It is an improvement over the Echo control of those devices and I have no doubt it will improve as they develop more skills and interface specific tasks.
There are 2 major issues that drive me crazy about it.
1: You connect it to the tv via HDMI so it has to sit within a cable's length of the tv. The issue with that is a typical system has a sound bar or speakers somewhere near that same area and that means the Cube cannot pick up your voice reliably when the volume is up. It says put it a minimum distance from the nearest speaker/sound bar, but physical limitations prevent that in my instance.
2: When you use voice control in the FireTV portion itself, it is by no means flawless. I tried to get ESPN to search for softball and it pulls up tennis highlights. I tried to get it to play The Umbrella Academy on Netflix and it pulled up a link to the comic book on Amazon. Some of the commands are a matter of learning how to say them and some are just not integrated. Good, but not perfect.
I think it'll improve over the years though so the biggest issue will be the location aspect.

Good Price, A Little Bloated

I needed a backup drive quickly for a laptop that was showing signs of failure that threatened to take out the motherboard and hard drive, so I ran to BB and grabbed this little guy on a whim. I was pleased with it for the most part and it definitely did what I bought it to do.
The speed is decent, backed up the entire 1.2TB system in a respectable time (can't tell the exact time because the machine overheated a few times and I was required to shut it down and do it in chunks). It was recognized and accessible easily enough as well.
My biggest issue is the software that comes with it. There's an option to back up your system, but there's no mirror option or a quick copy option that I could find. You can select user docs and other directories manually, but there is no Copy All easily accessible in their software. I know this drive is designed to be a running backup of important files, but I'd like the option to do a complete mirror image and then build on that.
The software itself is kind of chunky too. I can see where it would be useful for computer strugglers, but there is no advanced interface for those who need it. I don't need it to auto load and monitor, I just need a reliable back up.
