Great 4K, nearly there movie...

The 4K presentation is quite nice, but the story just isn’t there. There is a plot, but the feelings aren’t there for the characters. The separation of Dumbo from Jumbo ripped me apart in the animated film. In this version it didn’t even get a single tear. For a plot point that is supposed to motivate the viewer and heighten the tension for the rest of the story, it just didn’t even make “a drop in the bucket”. So, watch it if you must, but don’t get your hopes up for a good show. Plan for mediocre at best.

Hiccup and Toothless have an adventure that has a resolution that is comfortable, correct and satisfying. This story continues the narrative, expands their world, and completes the journey in a way that answers just about every question you might have had.
The 4K is visually beautiful. It is a worthy purchase.

Del Toro does it again...

A faithful sequel with all the visuals that you would expect from Del Toro. The truce has been broken and only Hellboy can bring the world back to order.
The 4K brought details out that I haven’t seen since this movie was shown in the cinema. Well worth the upgrade.

Hannibal’s past comes back to haunt him. Much more graphic than “Silence of the Lambs”, but still, a good “cat and mouse” thriller.
The 4K is crystal clear and vibrant. A good improvement over the previous release.

I went into this movie with a bunch of preconceived notions. The story is pretty solid with limited plot holes. The visuals are stunning. By the end of the movie, I was glad I had given it a chance. I realized I would have missed a good movie had I allowed myself to rely on my judgments about the movie without having seen it. Give it a try you’ll like it too.
The 4K is fantastic. All the extras are included on the regular BluRay disc. A decently produced product.
