A replacement for a 20 year old JBL sub-woofer. Hooked up quickly to amp, easy to adjust crossover point and overall volume, creates that great presence in so many movies. Excellent price for a great speaker.

There is nothing new that I could say about this film: stunning, hypnotic, frustrating, ground breaking, mesmerizing, slow, beautiful, etc., etc. I have been fascinated by it since I first saw it in the late '60's and have seen it in theaters at least a dozen times. Now with the 4K version I hopefully can finally stop buying home versions. This release is lovely, and the 4K version is incredible to look at. The stars are crisp points of light, the detail on and in the spacecraft is amazing. I really noticed the clarity in some of the spacecraft shots where you can see into the craft or the landing facilities in the space station or on the moon. You can really see the people and readouts. The sound is excellent, full and vibrant. If you're a serious fan of Kubrick and film, I really think this is a grand addition to your collection.

The drive seemed to be in perfect condition and booted up quickly. At this price point these drives are a great way to have backups of my photos and videos.

Lovely to look at, wonderful actors, some creepiness, some whimsy...but I could not really tell you what happened or why. I found the story very convoluted and unclear. By the end of the seeming endless movie I confess I was pretty disconnected, and just glad it was over.

I actually enjoyed this more than I expected. The story and most of the acting was serviceable, but other than Hugo Weaving, pretty forgettable. Kind of surprising that the screenplay seemed to barrel straight from one action sequence to another, considering that Peter Jackson and team did such a great job condensing LOTR into coherent, exciting films. That being said, the visuals were stunning, the grittiness of this world nicely realized, as well as the cobbled together look of the cities. Action set pieces were fun and spectacular. So, overall, it's lovely to look at, a bit of a pedestrian plot with perhaps one plot point too many crammed into the film. Enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

For whatever reason, we did not get out to the theaters to see this, and it kept falling by the wayside when thinking about movies to purchase. It's a measure of PIxar's incredible track record that this film seems to fall a little short. If it was any other producer's film, it would get rave reviews, as it is gorgeous to watch, funny both verbally and with pratfalls, great relationships between the characters. Overall, a wonderful film, and a worthy addition to your collection!
