Got around to watching the whole series again, including season 8.
The writing was on the wall since the start of the series and anyone really shocked by the evenst of season 8 needs to go back and pay attention!
I wish the series had gone on longer like most people, but the final episode did a fair job of wrapping things up. It wasn't perfect, but you'd think people thought this season was toxic radioactive trash.
The only shame was the time it took for HBO to release the series in 4K/HDR.

I had skipped this in theaters because, 1 the girl at the theater on opening day was extremely rude so I left, and 2 because after that I kept hearing how awful the movie was.
Little secret... Stop listening to the whiny loud people on the internet and don't let them stop you from stuff!
I waited until it was on disc and watched it at home. It's a good flick! Everyone always expects the bar to move up, but sometimes you just gotta accept the bar isn't going to move and enjoy it for what it is! It's a Star Wars movie, not some moving work of art that's going to change your life!

Let's face it... You likely only bought this to go with the steelbook edition of Lord of The Rings. I don't really anyone who "enjoyed" The Hobbit trilogy. So now you've got these mediocre movies, but they now housed in a medicore looking steelbox. Granted, the individual steelbooks are ok.
In the end, this felt like a cash grab.

Standard boxset looks better

One Edition to rule them all in and in the steelbook box, bind them!
I bought this edition with high hopes for the packaging, but it really didn't turn out as I had hoped. In the end, The steelbook cases are nice, but the box they're housed in is just awful. I think I would have been happier with the standard boxset. As such I don't keep the steelbooks in the steelbox.
Due to real life events that occurred shortly before it was released, I haven't watched this yet and nor have I wanted to. I'm sure it looks fantastic, but can't bring myself to do it without my dad.
