HuggyBear's Reviews

Comedy icons Gene Wilder, Peter Boyle, Cloris Leachman, Marty Feldman, Teri Garr and Madeline Kahn star in Mel Brooks' brilliantly outrageous riff on Mary Shelley's classic story of Frankenstein. After inheriting his grandfather's castle in Transylvania, young Dr. Frankenstein (Wilder) follows in his ancestor's freaky footsteps as he sets out to reanimate a dead body in Brooks funniest, most cohesive comedy to date'. (The New York Times)

One of the funniest movies of that erea. Mel Brooks is really on target with this film. Kids can watch and will miss the endowen do that makes it great for the adults. Think old Looney Toons cartoon.

Stanley Kubrick's antiwar masterpiece Paths of Glory comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Mono. Subtitles are available in both of those languages as well. Supplemental materials include a theatrical trailer and a collectible booklet. There is nothing special about this disc, except for the fact that the movie itself is an early classic from a truly great filmmaker.

This is a great movie staring Kurt Douglas. True depiction of the social condition of the times.
