If you have been living under a rock, and have not yet seen Forrest Gump, I highly recommend you do so. The 25th Anniversary blu ray looks excellent with better contrast and richer color than the 2009 “Sapphire Series” release. I did find this to be a tad darker though, so you may have to turn the brightness up a notch, especially if you have an oled. Otherwise it looks great.

Fun Popcorn Flick

Snakes on a Plane. What else needs to be said? The movie is hilarious and also makes you cringe. The transfer is a bit dated, but is still solid overall. Samuel L. Jackson gives a commanding performance, and the action is off the chain. Highly Recommended.

Christine is a Horror classic from John Carpenter (Halloween) that still holds up today. Based on the Stephen King novel, Christine shines on 4K and blu ray. Definitely one of the best 4K transfers that I have seen.

This collection includes all 8 films from the Harry Potter saga. Based on the novels of J.K. Rowling, the films follow Harry (Daniel Radcliff) as he learns about his magical heritage, and the pivotal role he plays within the wizard community. This is a great set for HP fans. Not a ton of extras, but you still get all the films on blu ray for a reasonable price. The picture quality varies, but is very good overall.

I decided to save a few bucks and go with the 1080P blu ray over the new 4K transfer from Sony. The movie is silly, but still makes you laugh. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are great at writing comedy, and the cast is hilarious! Check it out!
