The iPad Mini 7th Generation is almost identical to the 6th gen, but with one key addition: Apple Intelligence. If you’re into note-taking, reading, and writing with the Apple Pencil Pro, this is a near-perfect handheld device. It fits comfortably in your hand, making it great for casual use and light web browsing. Just don’t expect it to replace your gaming iPad, its not for that.
For pure readers, though, the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature is still the best choice. The e-ink display is unbeatable for long reading sessions.
I grabbed mine with a price-match and a trade in my base model Mini 6. If you already own a 6th gen and it’s running smoothly, you’re probably fine sticking with it unless you really need Apple Intelligence to take your productivity up a notch in 2025. Otherwise wait for the 8th edition which will have a better screen.
I give it 4 stars since I can’t tell much difference over my Mini 6.

I bought this because. I had to keep resetting my Roku app passwords. My passwords are long and complex. When you want to watch a show the last think you want to do is enter a complex password with letters, numbers , and special characters.
It seemed like it happened every month. With this I maybe have to enter a password once a year.
Quality is great and it’s very easy to use. Just buy it and stop reading reviews.

The best iPad after the 10th gen for 95% of us

Most people want a M4 iPad but only 1% of iPad users can actually use its functionality.
Buy this or the 10th gen now, and if you think you need Apple Intelligence features, sell this and buy the 11th gen iPad when it drops later this year or next year. It will still be cheaper than buying an iPad Air.
If you want your first iPad this or the 10th gen are the one to get. They will last you until 2029 or 2030. If you are a kid in school, this iPad is perfect for you. I use these for work and they are great. It works, it looks good, it’s good to watch movies, the Apple Pencil works great. Drawing is great on it.
I use it for work which requires using the iPad and using the Apple Pencil for about 4 plus hours daily. I watch YouTube on it when using for fun and work how to videos. Probably the best performing iPad for 95% of users.

I have had the Apple Magic Keyboard and it’s nice, but wobbly when using the touchscreen. This is due to a design flaw in the Apple MKB. I returned the Apple MKB for this and don’t miss a thing. I felt the previous gen Apple MKB was better than the M4 version for wobble.

How many movies can i download with 64GB . By download I mean downloading movies through Netflix , Disney+, etc.
If I assume a 2 hour high definition movie will take up to 3gb. Safely 10, but depends on how many apps you have on it.

Does the keyboard detach? and can it go back onto the case or am I stuck with two different pieces of the case?
The keyboard part detached and is extremely light weight. The case is sturdy and I use it without the case at least 2/3 the time. When I need the keyboard it magnetically snaps on and I am typing immediately.
When traveling and I will need the keyboard. I attach it and close the iPad down on it like a laptop. I put it in my bag. If I want to watch a movie in the hotel bed I detach the keyboard portion. If I am watching a movie on the couch I detach the keyboard.
