This Chromecast device plugs into the HDMI port of your HDTV. It then connects to your internet through your wifi to stream the multitude of apps it contains. A TV with an hdmi port and a wifi connection is required. Some of the apps it streams are free and others require subscriptions. There is also the ability to rent some content or purchase some content outright.

When the doorbell is rung or there is motion near it, you are notified on the devices for which you have downloaded the app. If you would like to have an audible ring that can be heard on the interior of your home, you will need to purchase one or more of the seperately sold chimes and set them up.
