A Non-Dated Comedy

Beavis and Butt-Head Do America holds the test of time. It was superb twenty-five years ago, and it is still superb! This movie is a solid comedy with jokes where people have to think, unlike modern produced television comedies and movies. The animation is top-notch, and the movie's Blu-ray transfer is good, but not excellent. The movie retains film grain, but there are some desert scenes that look soft. The Blu-ray's Special Features are same from the DVD. An upgrade would been a nice.

Good Upgrade

This is my favorite Star Wars film so I did not hesitate to make a a day one purchase. I am not going to go into detail into this film but rather discussion its UHD Blu-Ray. The film was shot in 2K and up-scaled for the UHD. Unlike the Disney Plus counterpart, the movie has HDR 10. I wish I knew the reason for not having Dobly Vision, even though some tech websites theorize that it is to encourage people to subscribe to its service. Overall, this movie looks good. When I first saw it in theaters, I recall the movie being dark with a lot of shadows and the color of the lightsabers popped. This is the first time in its home video release that look is replicated. As good as the DVD and Blu-Ray looked, the image was more bright than dark. I do not have a Dobly Atmos set-up (sorry), but the Dobly TruHD mix was good. The dialogue was clear as was the music and sound effects; unlike other movies where the effects muffle the dialogue, it does not occur in this soundtrack. And all the speakers get work. If you enjoy this movie and are interested in tech, it is worth the upgrade, especially if you enjoy the film.

Airplane is one of the best American comedies. It is time when the most vocal people are politically correct, this movie is a breath of fresh air because there is nothing politically correct about this movie, and it results in outrages laughs. This movie is a spoof of the disaster movies of the 60s and 70s; even if one is not familiar with that genre's formula, the movie still contains numerous laughs. The movie looks and sound great on Blu-ray. The Special Features are not memorable but I did not buy this movie for the Special Features.

I been a Resident Evil fan since the late 90s. The first few games of the series were solid to good games, except Resident Evil 4. Resident Evil 4 was superb and that game passes the test of time; however, that was the last good Resident Evil game. The other in the franchise were disappointing, at best. However, Resident Evil 7 is the exception. With this entry, the series returns to horror survival and it is a well made survival horror game. The scares are there and so is the anxiety that one may not have enough ammunition. The game is not too difficult either.

When I purchased Microsoft Office, I was aware that Outlook offers a free version of Office, but I still decided to purchase my own copy; and I have no regrets. The Home & Student version has more features than what is offered in the free version and it does give me the option to either save my files on to my harddrive or the OneDrive cloud. I like having the option of saving my intellectual property, as poor as it may be, to my hard drive than a cloud service. And the extra features, as cosmetic as they may be, are good options to have when working on Power-Points and Excel sheets. I also prefer not to rely on my internet for my work. Convince is always good feature but I still prefer to owe my own copy.

This laptop has features than what I required, but I do not regret purchasing it. With the extra features, I plan on picking up some hobbies I have been considering. It has a solid-state drive so there is no waiting for it to boot. It has a great screen and a solid casing. I have used the "tablet" feature but it is not to my liking but i find it bulky. The sound is from Harmon/Kardon and I am enjoying my Pandora, but it does not sound as well when headphones are plugged. The laptop does come with a stylus, which is awesome because I can write on my Power - Points. The art apps I have downloaded work well, especially with the stylus. This was a great purchase.

The DC movies do not have the same reputation as the Marvel movies. It is an axiom. One just have to look at the small handful of DC movies; however, the handful of awesome DC movies are better than most Marvel movies, and Shazam is one of them. I loved this movie. It has a solid, well-told story with great acting, especially from Zach Levi. He was phenomenal. Mark Strong did a solid job as the villan. The story is not a dark story as people associate this brand with and it has it heart-felt moments and good sense of humor spread throughout. Unlike some Marvel movies, the humor here is not forced into the story and it comes out naturally.
I purchased the 4K edition and the movie looks wonderful. The image is crystal clear, the color pop and the black levels are awesome. I am fortunate to owe a television with Dolby Vision and it makes a difference.
I am biased. I love this movie and I highly recommend it.

Nostalgia is one potent drug! Aladdin for the Sega Genesis is one of my favorite games from the 16 - bit era; when thus game was announced, I had to purchase it. The downside of nostalgia is that memory and reality are two different things; fortunately, Aladdin is still as great now as it was in the mid-90s. The controls do feel clunky compared to current games but one gets used to it after a while. The game is 4:3 and there is art work for the edges, which I find distracting. As for Lion King, I have not played the game since the 90s. Once I had my Aladdin fix, I will play it.

This game is an upgrade to Gears of War 4, which I enjoyed but was still disappointed with. This game improves on that. The graphics are superb and the story is a a solid one. As for the gameplay, it has not changed since the first Gears game. It is a great game for any of the series and for any casual gamer as well.
