I bought this off of Amazon at a no-brainer price. Coming from a Denon PMA-600ne to this magnificent piece of Japanese HiFi joy, the difference(s) are not subtle. A noticeable improvement over what is an already fine amplifier (PMA-600ne) that I was (and still am) thrilled to own. The PMA1700ne has the sound signature I have been searching for that the PMA-600ne just doesn't have.
The difference in SQ between this PMA-1700ne and the anniversary, top-of-the-line PMA-A110 that is double the cost, is imperceptible to my ears. The PMA-1700ne is literally my end-game integrated amplifier. I paired this integrated with HECO (hey-co) Aurora 700 tower speakers, a WiiM Pro using coax out, and the Denon DCD-900ne CD player using analog out. Also, a Music Hall US-1 turntable with Ortofon 2M Blue cart. This is an outstanding pairing of equipment in my opinion. And the PMA-1700ne is definitely up to the task!
The PMA-1700ne has a signal-sensing feature (for only one input that is assignable) that works incredibly well. I can be anywhere in the house (small but cozy house) well out of remote control range and as I have the input set to COAX, whenever I want music, I start the WiiM Pro, and the PMA-1700ne turns on and will switch inputs! Then, I can use the WiimPro app to adjust the volume, EQ, etc...! Then, after all of that, when I'm finished listening, I literally do nothing! The WiimPro AND the PMA-1700ne will both automatically shut down after no signal input for a period of time (10 minutes I think)!!!
The build quality is beastly, to say the least. The knob feel on this 39lb monster is so fricken silky smooth and responsive. I'd rather get out of my chair to adjust the volume over using the remote, THAT is how nice the feel is (to me). A MASSIVE volume knob is made out of solid aluminum, as is the smaller selector knob.
Low volume, high volume, it makes no difference to this amp. The sound quality is simply phenomenal! The power at 70 watts/ch is surely a very conservative rating as the PMA-1700ne has yet to even come close to breaking a sweat with my usage. Admittedly the loudest I've had it was 50% and that was waaay too loud for comfortable, enjoyable listening. Interestingly enough, at that level, the sound was as clear as crystal, it was just too dang loud! Hahaha
The phono stage as well as the built-in DAC are flawless. Absolutely flawless. There is zero to complain about with the built-ins. Should I ever decide to start listening to the highest available sound via my computer, there is no doubt in my mind the PMA-1700ne will dominate that format as well.
Still, at half of the anniversary flagship PMA-A110 cost, yet 3x the cost of the PMA-600ne, the PMA-1700ne is still a pricey investment. There are features I would like that the PMA-1799ne doesn't have, like, knob markings so I can see across the room what position they are at, but that is being picky. The build quality, the sound signature, and the fact that, for me anyway, this is an heirloom piece that will be handed down after I'm gone, does justify the higher price of admission, but if you are patient, these can be found easily enough for not much over $1500, if not a hair below, the PMA-1700ne is a worthy investment. Oh yeah! A 3-year factory warranty as well (when bought new from an authorized seller)!

These sets are not the best there is, but they are the best in the price class they are in. Vivid, bright, punchy, defined color awaits the viewer. Built-in FireTV works flawlessly, and one remote to control both the TV and the soundbar is a highly desirable feature that this series offers. The build quality is more than substantial enough to not need to worry. Zero complaints and Best Buy had the most amazing price for the 55" I bought. I absolutely recommend this purchase.

Gorgeous TV. Do the updates. The early reviews are from before the updates available today, which do a GREAT job correcting the color settings. I went into this knowing the GTV implementation was poor, but we use Fire TV. So I did the 'Basic Setup' and have a Fire TV Cube connected to it via HDMI and a sound bar connected to eArc HDMI 1, and the picture is mind-blowingly good! The audio isn't horrific at all, but obviously not movie theater quality, so my suggestion is at minimum, a sound bar should be a part of your setup. I buy a TV for the PQ, nothing else. A TV is, and should always be nothing more than a big monitor that gets TV stations from an antenna. Beyond that, get whatever gadget you want to view and connect it.
We don't game so can't comment on that, but I see no reason an Xbox or PS5 wouldn't play outstanding on this set.

Incredible television is well worthy of being in the flagship series. Detailed yet realistic looking, without artificial brightness to show shadow details that one wouldn't see in real life. Bright, vibrant colors without being overly saturated. I also have the 75" top of the series and the PQ is breathtaking. That is why I replaced a higher-end 1080p set with this 4K set. We are not disappointed in our choice(s). Highly recommended if you can still find one. (My cell phone camera blows, the pics don't do the TV justice in the least.)

Right off the bat, I want to attempt to clarify the 120Hz debacle that is occurring. This TV IS INDEED a NATIVE 120Hz display television. What people say about the HDMI input(s) not supporting 120Hz is true. But all that means is that the TV itself does the conversion of EVERYTHING (including the HDMI input(s)) that gets displayed on the screen, to 120Hz. And as such, the TV has such an incredibly clean, colorful, and smoothest motion that I have seen on a TV in this price range. Maybe a future update can enable 120Hz over HDMI, but I doubt it is on the front burner.
The only valid complaint that I can confirm, is the sound/no picture when going to an app after using HDMI. The easy workaround is to change the user and change back. VOILA!, sound and picture again! I am hopeful a future update will fix this anomaly.
I love having antenna TV and FireTV on the same screen. Makes switching fast and easy. The audio via eARC sounds as good as it can and controls my Denon AVR too! My only dislike is that volume control is in steps, and not fluid and smooth. Playing around with the delay times in the TV settings, to see if that helps any.
The built-in Alexa controls the TV's basic functions very fluidly. No issues. And it hears incredibly well, even while watching a movie/program.
The TV is incredibly bright, with retina melting capabilities (I'm being facetious) so be prepared! The TV is bright enough that reflections are a non-issue. The color gamut is magnificent and the full-array back-lighting helps to get me involved with the program. I haven't seen any gray where it should be black, yet. And I don't expect to.
I strongly recommend this set as the feature-to-price point is unmatched, at the current sale price, with any other set. You will easily spend $400 more on a competitor to get the same functions and features this set has. The 75" M550 is easily a flagship-class television in my honest opinion. I replaced a wonderful 73" Mitsubishi 120Hz TV that had nothing wrong with it (the Super Bowl looked insanely awesome), and I have no buyer's remorse. We're looking forward to the Super Bowl this year!

I was able to pick up this TV at roughly half the original price making it an excellent deal for a 120hz refresh rate, full array local dimming TV of this size.

Overall, the picture quality is excellent after making a few adjustments to the picture settings. There are crisp details and bright colors. This appears to be an IPS screen, so the blacks in dark scenes are not super deep in a dark room, but the FALD does help some with this. For all but the darkest scenes, the picture quality is quite excellent.

Overall, I like the Fire OS. I like the simple remote and the ability for voice control. I was able to control my receiver using the remote, allowing me to get down to one remote. The OS in general is simple and easy to use. Many complain about the adds at the top, but it does not get in the way of my experience, so I am fine with it. The one glitch that I cannot figure out is that after playing my PS4, I have to reboot the TV to stream again. If I do not reboot, I can hear the sound of a show, but I can't see the video. I can do a restart with the remote, so it is not the end of the world, but I hope a future update will somehow correct this.

This is my second attempt with this TV. First one wouldn’t boot up. They replaced it, now this one doesn’t work properly. Has sound but no picture at times. I have to constantly do a factory reset to it.

There is a problem for the HDMI ARC, when you plugged in a Sound Bar via HDMI ARC, the volume bar will stay on for the whole time. I tried to reset the TV, but did not work. I reset the JBL Sound Bar, it did not work either. However, my sound bar is working fine with another Samsung TV I have.
I emailed to Toshiba Support, no response for 2 days. and I found out there are many people with the same problems, please visit the following link.

Picture quality is amazing, but I was disappointed that I couldn’t get full surround support through HDMI into my AV-Receiver. I could only get PCM audio coming through one stereo speaker, far short of the full surround I'm used to from my Onkyo tx-nr686. It also couldn’t see my PS4 or cable box. Spent several hours with tech support and Toshiba finally said I should return it.

using my old Denon 4311ci. So your theory that the TV won't provide full surround sound to more than one channel doesn't hold water. Look at your settings, connections, sources, etc... The TV is just wonderful in all aspects.

One of the greatest TV's i ever hooked up looked better than my Samsung, but brand new it kept going black had to unplug it and plug it back in after a week of this i returned it good thing it didn't start after the 15 day return had to go without for a week

All you had to do was reset the TV back to factory defaults and set it up again. Most likely occurred because you didn't do a factory reset when you first unboxed it. This is the most incredible television for the price available.

I purchased the Toshiba 65m550ku b/c it says 120hz to watch sports but when I check the resolution its 60hz auto and I can’t change it. That’s streaming on the fire tv and from my cable box. How do I get 120hz?

Does this TV come with a coaxial connection? I use the over the air local channels.

Sometimes the TV doesn't turn on with the remote. I have to unplug and replug it at the back of the TV, then it will turn on with the remote.... Also, when I pause a show it shuts itself off after 5 minutes. Very annoying...
The TV needs to be reset to factory defaults once unboxed and before 1st use. Do that and go thru the setup process again and you should be good to go.

Hooking up the firestick to port and automatically changed to HDM12. Couldn't get it to change back to HDM1. Completely disconnected the firestick and on a black tv scree still shows HDM12..? I can I change it back. I think this change has also effect

Is the performance better when using an ethernet cable connected
In my case, using ethernet results in slower speeds than wi-fi. Crazy, but true. So I use the wi-fi now, no issue. No issue with ethernet either, other than the psychological aspect of it being slower.
