This TV IS 120Hz!

Right off the bat, I want to attempt to clarify the 120Hz debacle that is occurring. This TV IS INDEED a NATIVE 120Hz display television. What people say about the HDMI input(s) not supporting 120Hz is true. But all that means is that the TV itself does the conversion of EVERYTHING (including the HDMI input(s)) that gets displayed on the screen, to 120Hz. And as such, the TV has such an incredibly clean, colorful, and smoothest motion that I have seen on a TV in this price range. Maybe a future update can enable 120Hz over HDMI, but I doubt it is on the front burner.
The only valid complaint that I can confirm, is the sound/no picture when going to an app after using HDMI. The easy workaround is to change the user and change back. VOILA!, sound and picture again! I am hopeful a future update will fix this anomaly.
I love having antenna TV and FireTV on the same screen. Makes switching fast and easy. The audio via eARC sounds as good as it can and controls my Denon AVR too! My only dislike is that volume control is in steps, and not fluid and smooth. Playing around with the delay times in the TV settings, to see if that helps any.
The built-in Alexa controls the TV's basic functions very fluidly. No issues. And it hears incredibly well, even while watching a movie/program.
The TV is incredibly bright, with retina melting capabilities (I'm being facetious) so be prepared! The TV is bright enough that reflections are a non-issue. The color gamut is magnificent and the full-array back-lighting helps to get me involved with the program. I haven't seen any gray where it should be black, yet. And I don't expect to.
I strongly recommend this set as the feature-to-price point is unmatched, at the current sale price, with any other set. You will easily spend $400 more on a competitor to get the same functions and features this set has. The 75" M550 is easily a flagship-class television in my honest opinion. I replaced a wonderful 73" Mitsubishi 120Hz TV that had nothing wrong with it (the Super Bowl looked insanely awesome), and I have no buyer's remorse. We're looking forward to the Super Bowl this year!

WARNING: The weight for this model of HICENSE TV (and possibly all …) is not correct- on the specifications on Best Buy and on internet sites in general, the weight is listed at 54.7 lbs and/or 26KG… when tv was delivered I , my back told me this tv was not 57lbs… in fact box weight is 81lbs, TV must be around 76lbs - I have to believe an incorrect conversion factor was used (kg to lbs…) , and filtered down to many sites… I will now need to cancel an order for a wall mount, and if I decide to keep TV, order a more weight appropriate wall mount….love Hicense products but I consider this a serious gaff….

Before you purchase this tv, if refresh rate is of any concern to you, do not purchase tv’s that claim anything about “motion rate.” The refresh rate is always 60hz on these tv’s.

This TV has a native refresh of 120Hz. The M550 line is 120HZ. The C350 line, on the other hand, is 60 Hz. So, no matter what you are viewing on the screen, it is in 120Hz.

TV itself is great. I am having issues with the ARC connection and our Dennon AVR. Ended up having to use a standalone fire stick plugged into the AVR to get a consistent sound. Seems fine with a soundbar but any sort of surround sound system was a pain.

Very disappointed in this washer. The first load we washed came out looking almost the same as when it went in. The main issue is that it doesn't fill with enough water being that it's High Efficiency. Had to watch you tube videos to figure out hacks to get it to fill with enough water that all the clothes actually got wet. And then sometimes we get error codes which stops the whole process. It took me 4 hours to wash a load of bedding! Completely regret buying this machine.

Do not buy this TV. I have had nothing but issues with this TV. Have been in contact with I rarely review items bad. I had to contact TCL numerous times. Tv flashes, resets on its own. Roku freezes all the time. No other tv in my house has these issues. Be aware! quality of the picture is very good but overall quality is not.

Good picture quality. Was able to pick it up for 325 on sale. Built in fire tv is a two edged sword. The options to calibrate your tv are limited by the slow laggy fire tv os. Its refresh rate advertised at 120hz native....i dont believe. The 240hz refresh rate upscaled i havent experienced. Either through apps on the fire tv OS or through HDMai inputs. They maybe there but i dont really feel i have experinced it. I am going to do a professional hdtv calibration very soon but this is a steal at 325. And would be good deal at 400. But not much more. I still cant get a clesr answer on whether or not the hdmi are 2.1 compatible or hot. Xbox says no. Sound is downward firing so it will be slightly muffled if not mounted.

The inputs are NOT 2.1. You CAN use xbox in 4k@60 and the TV converts to 120. It isn't complicated. Try resetting your set if it is "slow & laggy. I have 2 of these and neither is slow and laggy. These are the best kept secret in 4k TV's.

No. But the remote has no buttons. You'll see, you get used to it quickly. My wife loves the remote.

Why when using VUDU it only plays as SD and not Ultra HD? All move purchased are Ultra HD but only give SD option to play.

Why do the specifications of this TV say it is "120hz" for the "refresh rate" when none of the HDMI ports are compatible with a signal of 120hz?
The screen is native 120Hz, meaning EVERYTHING you see displayed is at 120Hz. The inputs do not accept 120HZ in, only 60Hz. The TV itself does the conversion to 120Hz, so it is done in the TV, not the source.
