Good movie, but...

The movie is pretty good, but not quite as good as I remembered it from many years ago. Really seemed low budget. Great acting though. The transfer to 4k was unimpressive IMO. The benefits of 4k and HDR were not at all impressive or notable. It seemed no better than a standard BR disc as viewed on my Calibrated Sony Oled. The lighting was dark overall and grainy. The grain, I expected but not the dark, gloomy picture. It didn’t look like director intent to set the tone of the film, but more like a transfer with no corrections performed. Overall, disappointed with the 4k transfer.

Relatively straight forward and easy installation. It does not require a “c” wire when used with the included adaptor. Instruction are really good. Works great with the app and it’s easy to set up. It comes with an adaptor plate to hide any screw holes or different color paint that was behind your older and perhaps larger thermostat. I used the included backplate and painted it to blend in with the color of the wall it’s on. The display stays lit by default but can be set to turn off after a few minutes after standing in front of it. Displays current temperature in the house, set temperature and also humidity in the house. I like it.

The movie itself was excellent. Great image quality too. Daniel Craig’s role was fantastic. The only issue with this disk was that if you have a Panasonic 4k player and watch this movie in the default Dolby Vision mode, the picture will freeze for about about 15 seconds at the 2:01:24 second mark. You can, however, disable Dolby Vision and watch it in HDR10 without issue.

This Samsung tv has better black level performance than an equivalent Samsung Lcd that I purchased 5 years ago. What hasn’t improved is off angle viewing. In fact, it’s slightly worse. Colors, blacks and contrast get very washed out from just being 15-20 degrees off angle. Otherwise, it’s a good set. Color accuracy is pretty good out of the box with only minor adjustments. There ar plenty of adjustments to dial in a very good picture, especially if you get it calibrated. If you need better off angle viewing, go with an LG (ips panels) but blacks tend to suffer more on those type panels. Pick your poison. Better blacks or better off angle viewing. At this price point though, I would recommend this Samsung so long as you sit close to center of the screen.

Presented in 4k Dolby Vision, this remastered version of Apocalypse Now is the best 4k image that I have seen to date. Beautiful films grain. Beautiful colors, both primary and secondary colors. Includes 6 discs for 4k, Blu-ray and dvd and each type disc gets the Final cut version on one disc and the original theatrical version and Redux on the other disc. If you want to see your 4k tv demonstrate its capabilities, go buy this disc set now!

Love the fact that the ink will last 23x longer than your typical HP ink and for less money to refill. Print quality is very good
My problem with it is when I go to AirPrint a photo for example, the first one does fine. When you go to print a second one, the printer says it’s busy even though it’s not. I have to then unplug the printer, wait a few minutes, restart the Epson app and my iPad in order to print the 2nd photo. At that point, I have to repeat unplug procedure again. Exhausting! Has latest firmware too.

It’s good quality but it just doesn’t last very long. I’ve gotten tired of buying go ink and just made the switch to an Epson printer with ink wells and the ink lasts up to 2 years!

Hello, I go with the 70/70 rule and this is perfect for me. The cooler is set at 66 F and works perfectly until..... I HAVE A POWER CUT. The humidor changes the temperature to 55 and dries my cigars to 60 %. Is there a way to avoid that ?
Most electric humidors will do this. They default to coldest temperature. In South Florida, we lose power from 1 second to 10 minutes almost every time it rains. To remedy this, simply buy a cheap battery backup ups. When you lose power, the battery kicks in and temperature remains same. When power is restored, the humidor will go back to operating on your ac power. I think my battery ups is rated for 450va and it keeps the humy running on battery power for a good 30 minutes until power comes back on. It works like a charm. Good luck.
